Note: This is a rerun for our Global COVID-19 crisis. Since we are a world super power, our media tends to focus on our domestic events much more than on foreign events. Yet, whether we like or not, as a world leader, we cannot ignore the news in other nations especially those affect our national security and future interests.

Amid COVID-19 fallout, on 3/3 Federate Reserve Board had an emergency rate cut of 0.5% but only spooked the Wall Street ending with Dow’s drop of 786 points. On 3/12, the Stock Market dropped to the lowest since 1987. It's expected that FED will drop more the following week due to the economic impact caused by COVID-19 worldwide. Let’s examine what normally causes the interest rates up or down, except in global crisis or emergency.

Chinese hospitals overflowing with COVID-19 patients weeks ago now, as of March 2, have empty beds. The World Health Organization’s Bruce Aylward told reporters in Beijing,  “Other countries can take lessons from China’s handling of the COVID-19 epidemic.”  Let’s briefly summarize what the government did and interviews I conducted over the phone with people in China in two episodes.

I was overwhelmingly touched by the short Chinese video entitled “wordless.” It depicted the mobilization of medical personnel from all parts of China to WuHan, like going to a war zone to combat the COVID-19. Among them were volunteer experts of respiration, influenza, epidemiology.  Streaming of trucks transported thousands of brave medical professionals to the gravely silent city, WuHan. A mother tucked packages of snack into her son’s backpack and hug him with tears for goodbye. Without doubt, her only prayer was for his safe return.

Communication for interpersonal relationships is always a challenge including mostly used verbal communication. Face to face verbal interaction is even more challenging than other forms. Frequently, somehow, there is a gap between a speaker and listener if they don’t know each other well. This challenge persists everywhere, at home, at work, in public places and even instantaneous online. Let’s just start with the basis of 3 Gs and 2 Es.
