I can’t believe season one is coming to an end!! I have learned so much in the past few months from my guest; sharing their stories provided an opportunity for myself and others to learn from their tips and tricks, struggles, and life lessons, in order to allow us to become a better version of ourselves.

So this week, we take a look back and highlight some of the biggest gold nuggets dropped this season.

Aditi shares a little about her life growing up in India. Being a middle child, she often felt the need to help others before prioritizing herself. After going off to college, Aditi faced some experiences where she knew she needed to prioritize herself and ask for help. Once COVID happened, she knew it was time to destigmatize mental health and started Speaking Grey. She now offers resources for overall wellness as well as provides a safe space for others to open up.

Sean shares his pride in growing up in small-town Inkom, Idaho. He enjoyed being a typical active kid and really took an interest in sports. As he approached his last few years in high school, he learned he started to strengthen himself not only physically but mentally. Once out of college, his good buddy shared a meditation practice and Sean recalls it changed his life. Sean now finds ways to continue to soften himself and reports it not only helps him mentally but also in his work and personal life.

This week, Sarah shares that a lot of her childhood identity was rooted in the fact she was a twin as well as being a swimmer. Once she got to college, she decided to totally change paths and was determined to build her own identity. She talks about how she was able to envision the person she’s always wanted to be and how she was able to work backward to become that person. Once COVID happened, she saw a need to spread more positivity and Positive Change Project was born.

Sydnee explains how her childhood was anything but “normal.” Many of her memories are from doctors’ offices because she had some medical challenges that doctors struggled to diagnose. She remembers leaving inspired by all the hard work of the doctors and nurses around her. It led her to volunteer more and eventually start her own non-profit, Jumbled Dreams. Sydnee wants others to know that regardless of your age, skill set, you do you have the ability to make a big difference in someone’s life.

Nicola jumps in & provides us with a brief overview of her life journey. At a young age, she moved to a new country where she became fascinated to learn and help others. As she got older, she perused a few job opportunities that had elements of helping others but didn’t feel quite right. It wasn’t until she first heard about the concept of coaching. She now loves to help and support women who are fed up with “fine” by encouraging them to invests in themselves.

Morgan remembers some of her earliest, most vivid childhood memories revolving around her weight. She recalls although she was an active kid, she loved to eat and there were many situations in her life that she was bullied because of her weight. As she entered college, she engaged in an unhealthy eating disorder. Luckily, she was able to find the courage to open up to family. Morgan now feels like she is finally on a path to a healthy relationship with the fitness and health world.

Deborah grew up & always felt inspired by her parents; both her mom & dad were young entrepreneurs. Through watching her parents, she learned early on that we control our own destiny, regardless of what other people tell you. There were times throughout her career that people doubted her, but she explains how she would combat that by filling her environment with positivity. She now shares her positivity with others through coaching, her blog, & Instagram page.

Kersti recalls her early childhood with a large family in the Church. As the family experienced some troubles, Kersti shares that her young adult-self started to rebel. Toward the end of college, she was noticing others' relationships with God and she became curious once again. But it wasn’t until she took a mission trip that she felt her life forever changed. She has now has worked hard to move through some of the shame and guilt she once felt about her rebellion phase and credits a lot of that to God

Growing up, Danielle describes herself as a creative child but as she got older, she became more academically focused. When she had to decide what to study in school, she found herself at a crossroads of choosing the “smart” decision vs what she actually wanted to do. Ultimately, she chose a career in economics however, she eventually hit a burnout. She explains how she was able to follow what felt good to her. She now is a “joy coach” and works with others to help them find what feels good to them.
