Emmy O'Neil is such a beautiful, living example of how to find joy and light in difficult circumstances, as she shares her story on facing chronic illness with positivity and grit.
Emmy is a recent kidney transplant recipient, mother of two, a photographer and an aspiring triathlete. For over 26 months, during 2018 - 2020, she was in end-stage kidney failure, on dialysis waiting for a kidney transplant. During her time on dialysis, Emmy went on to transform herself and reach peak fitness competing in enticer distance triathlons and F45.
In this episode, Emmy and I have a conversation about:

• living with kidney failure and having to juggle dialysis and parenthood
• what it was like to wait for and undergo a kidney transplant
• her recovery so far, and how training for a triathlon has helped in her health journey
• the advice she would give other people waiting for a transplant or facing chronic illness

Alongside her various accomplishments, Emmy is a dedicated mama to her two beautiful children, and together with her husband, live in sunny Brisbane. Emmy is passionate about making the most out of her life and meets every situation head on with positivity, true grit and an infectious smile.
