Highs and lows!

Ron and Sean look back at all the good and the bad of last week and ask, can PALACE PIER give 8lb to POETIC FLARE?

Social Media "armchair jockeys"....where did they learn to race ride?

Plus....what was your highlight of the week?....what had you "head in hands"?....and a question they'll be discussing on Friday....should Cheltenham add a fifth day?

Ron and Sean made themselves a promise last week, only "Happy talk" this week....and they have plenty of it!

Royal Ascot chat and one a day to consider (if they run!), the guts of Pyledriver, the £10k bargain buy, Exitas winning at the age of 13, and another Australian race taken in.

Racing...brilliant, isn't it!

Details of their selections for this weekend will appear in tomorrow morning's Newsletters.

Ron and Sean talk Epsom, Musselburgh, Eagle Farm and the Belmont Stakes, and have some racing chat before producing the winners for you.

Plenty to discuss this week. The sad passing of Lorna Brooke, the errors of youth and banned substances, Robert Havlin getting 21 days for riding to instructions….and the flat racing Hall Of Fame.

Then, of courses, there are the winners from Ripon, Sandown, Navan and that seriously good meeting at Sha Tin on Sunday, from which Sean has selected his something For The Weekend….Ron has wimped out and put a treble up!

A look back at last weekend’s Aintree Grand National, a look forward at Sunday’s Scottish version and those big races at Newbury and the Curragh given the once over. Do Irish handicappers have an unfair advantage? If you are planning on having a small fun bet this weekend, the information provided here is as good…

Sean and Ron go through the Aintree card tomorrow, discuss Richard Johnson’s retirement, Neil Callan’s spat in Hong Kong, tell you their favourite Grand National story and offer up thoughts on an Aintree Placepot!

Very little racing in the UK worth a mention but Ron and Sean get it all covered, plenty of winners (he says, laughing), picked out and if it’s anything like last weekend (it won’t be), go stand by the pay window!

Also covered this weekend, they name one horse each to follow this season, they chat about the rising star that is Benoit De La Sayette and Sean finishes by correcting a mid-podcast blooper!
