We're back, and we're talking about 'Dave' season 2 - both its rocky start and its triumphant finish. Then, we're discussing the very fun 'The Suicide Squad,' which far surpasses the first attempt at this IP and potentially paves a more adult, self-aware way forward for DC movies. Thank you for listening!
Hosted by Zack Miller and Stephen Williams
In this episode, we are discussing the horrifying documentary 'Woodstock 99: Peace, Love & Rage' and the subsequent fallout at the end of the '90s. Where did all the chaos seen in the documentary come from and where did it go? Then, we are reviewing new works from some of music's biggest stars as the summer album rollouts continue.

In this episode, we're talking about one of our favorite things: pop-punk! We're diving deep into what the genre means to us and our nostalgia for the time it ruled teen popular culture in the 00's. Recently, thanks to the foundation laid by a wave of popular emo rappers, the genre has risen back up the charts and invaded popular music once again. We break it all down. Thank you for listening!

In this episode, we are talking about the three-part movie series that was released rapidly on Netflix over the month of July, "Fear Street." These three entries, subtitled after their period settings in 1994, 1978, and 1666, create a very successful horror story that may serve as a blueprint for future Netflix success, both in budget and in their weekly release schedule.

In this episode, we review the latest MCU entries in both film and television, 'Black Widow' and 'Loki.' While they are both solid entries into the Marvel Universe, we talk about their chronic devaluing of stakes and how nothing is really over.

In this episode, we further discuss our nostalgic feelings for the original 'Space Jam' and how the sequel failed to communicate its commercialism in a way that was still palatable and fun, resulting in the world's longest advertisement. Then, we discuss Tyler, the Creator's new album, and how he continually exceeds expectations, even when working within the confines of one of rap's lost arts - the mixtape.

We're back at the movies again! This time, we saw one of the most anticipated indie movies of the year, 'Zola.' This tale, based on the viral Twitter thread from 2015, is stylish, messy, and controversial as it weaves together humor and exploitation. Thank you for listening.

In this episode, we're both talking about our personal top 5 animated movies--lists very connected to nostalgia and childhood. While we both grew up watching a lot of Disney movies, which we discuss, there are other more surprising, under-the-radar picks as well that clearly influenced our tastes in adulthood. Thanks for listening!

Today, we're arguing about whether or not Marvel knows how to make TV shows that can stand on their own power, or if they are content for their shows to always be tie-ins. Where does this approach leave 'Loki'? Then, we discuss the recent run of Pixar movies and how the coming-of-age 'Luca' fits into that legacy. Thank you for listening!

In this episode, we're doing another top 5! This time, our favorite unloved movies. What does that mean? Unloved movies, in our definition, are movies that don't have a particular following/legacy and are more likely to be forgotten by time. Blockbusters that came and went with little cultural impact, or that failed to live up to their budget. These movies usually suffer from low ratings, but in this case, we pick the ones we love. Thank you for listening!
