Today Mike and Erica talk about the most recent song series poster by artist, Daniel Danger. This run of posters, are a variety of songs, chosen by artists to illustrate songs in the DMB catalog. “The Stone” is a song on the 3rd studio album, Before These Crowded Streets (BTCS). A small description by Daniel Danger: “to me the play to make with representing this song thru illustration is the lines "this weighs on me" "heavy as stone" "in too deep" and "wondering if you'd come along". this soft dreamlike place filled with heaviness: waterlogged books, the flooded room, victorian pewter lamps, horse statues, bookshelves literally collapsing into themselves, all with this woman observing this outside space that reads much lighter and open, clearly in a state of waiting. existing or trapped in a place filled with things you could love if they weren't in the state they are in, that things aren't what they seem”.
