In this episode I share a familiar story from John 5 that I am seeing through fresh eyes.

When it comes to the promises of God, I want them all instantly. But God wants them for us permanently. So in His kindness He made us one with Jesus.

There is a permanence to our newness because we are now permanently ********one with Christ. And so all of life here on earth is about discovering and experiencing who we actually are in Him. And it goes beyond just a one-time result or outcome — it’s a continuous overcoming in every arena of life.

We were not called to live a Christian life, we were given a life to live IN Christ.

This is not a life with a Christian badge on it (that’s religion). It’s SO much better!

This is not a life we can earn by loving God more, it’s a life He freely gave us because of His love for us.

It’s time we rest in God’s affection for us and live the life Jesus died for us to have.

Our permanent place is in Jesus, even in low places. When I became aware of this truth and chose to walk in it, I experienced so much life and peace!

What’s true about Jesus is true about you.

We are living in a victory He won so we can’t lose.

Absence of trouble is not proof of this victory, His permanent presence in us in every trouble is the proof.

Instead of letting your circumstances challenge your identity in Christ, let your identity challenge your circumstances.
