  • #127 - Robert Smith. General Secretary, BBBoC
There's been a lot of news, rumours and hearsay on when boxing can be restarted after the COVID19 lockdown and it can be hard to know who's best to listen to, but if there's one man who will be able to give us an insight into that answer it's the General Secretary of the British Boxing Board of Control, Robert Smith. Robert has been working day & night to see how boxing can start again with certain provisions in place and how to make it as safe as possible for everyone involved. We normal say the magic words that an episode is "the best one yet", for this one we're going with... the most important one yet. Truly not to be missed if you can't wait for boxing, or any sport, to be starting up again.

  • #122 - Mauricio Sulaiman
We are delighted to welcome back onto the show mr. Mauricio Sulaiman, El Presidente of the World boxing Council (WBC). Mauricio was brilliant the last time he came on the show and didn't hide in answering any questions. Even if you don't agree with everything the WBC do you can't say that their president isn't open in communicating their decisions or hiding from any controversies. Mauricio comes from a boxing family and has more stories then most boxers to put together so we can't think of anyone better to pass the time with during our self isolation than Mr. Sulaiman.

  • #121 - Joe Calzaghe
On this week's show we're joined by a boxer who many believe is the greatest to have ever come out of these shores. Undefeated in 46 fights, beaten legends such as Bernard Hopkins, Roy Jones Jr & Chris Eubank and sold out stadiums. There's not many boxers in the world that have had the career that Joe Calzaghe has had and he joins us for the first time on the show! We got to delve right into Joe's career and hear first hand about his boxing apprenticeship with his father Enzo and also about those American fights that topped off his stellar career. We're not going to say the words this time... but hopefully you'll be thinking it when you're giving this one a listen!

  • #119 - Dennis Hobson
We are still striving to deliver a weekly episode even though we are all isolating... therefore Jake & Spencer aren’t in our usual recording box together and this weeks show is recorded slightly differently. However, even a global pandemic can’t stop us from producing the goods! On this weeks show is one of the unsung heroes of British boxing, promoter Dennis Hobson. Dennis has some of the best stories & experiences in the sport from the past few decades and opened up to us on them all. He even gave us an insight in what it’s like being a boxing promoter, especially during these tough & unprecedented times!
We hope this weeks show can give you a bit of escapism from watching those Only Fools and Horses repeats & building the Taj Mahal in lego. Stay safe peeps!

  • #118 - Chris Wild
With the current outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic the Pound for Pound team are keen to still publish a weekly show, especially if we all find ourselves self-isolating and have finished watching all the Boxing Gold's on Sky Sports Catch Up.
On this weeks show we have the brilliant Chris Wild. Chris has an amazing story that culminated in him writing the book, Damaged, which chronicled heartbreaking stories around Britain's child care system. Chris used boxing as an avenue to help turn his life around and continues to campaign and do everything he can to make the system a much safer place. This is an interview like no other we’ve had on the show.

We hope everyone stays safe in these uncertain times and hopefully a weekly show can give everyone a bit of an escape from any challenges the pandemic is bringing them.
