We all know that being consistent is key when it comes to podcasting or growing a business, right? But here's the thing: just posting on social media won't magically bring in your dream audience. Unpopular opinion, right?
Turns out, we need to step out of our comfort zones and actively go find our people. Picture it like throwing an epic party at your house. You've got the decorations, the food, the music, but if no one knows how to get there, you're just standing on your lawn yelling at random passersby. Not the best strategy, huh?
So, we need to seek out those digital "watering holes" where our ideal people hang out. It could be well-run Facebook groups, paid networking groups, or collaborating with other podcasters. By putting ourselves out there, making connections, and inviting people to our "party," we can finally grow our businesses and podcasts in a meaningful way. Isn't that exciting?

IN THIS EPISODE YOU WILL LEARN:
- Why merely posting content and being consistent won't yield significant results. A lot of coaches in the online space often don’t teach the importance of actively finding your audience. Posting on social media may only reach a small percentage of your existing followers. PLUS going viral doesn’t typically translate into meaningful business growth or conversions.
- How to discover digital watering holes: where are your people hanging out? You can explore Facebook groups that align with your target audience or join paid networking groups that can offer valuable connections and collaborations.
- The importance of borrowing audiences and collaborating (how to do it RIGHT!). Engage with people who follow influencers or podcasters similar to your niche. Also consider guesting on other podcasts or doing collaborations to reach new audiences.
- The key in shifting your mindset to serving rather than selling. Interact with potential listeners as individuals, not just for self-promotion. Focus on building relationships and providing value.
- How to incorporate 1-to-1 strategies as well as 1-to-many, balancing interactions on social media with other approaches like speaking engagements.
- The permission to prioritize investing time in finding new people over excessive social media posting. (Now doesn’t that sound lovely?!)
