Recently I sat down with Lynn Chen about how she lets go of all the things holding her back in life — including excuses, limiting narratives, blame, shame, and trying to control certain outcomes.
This has resulted in way more acceptance, happiness, and opportunities, which are things we all need a little more of… am I right?!
Lynn is an actor, filmmaker, activist, blogger, podcaster, and so much more. She shares the ups and downs of her directorial debut film making it into South By Southwest…YAY! Only to then have the festival cancelled because of COVID-19.
Warning: We get into JUICY, personal subjects in this episode!
Lynn takes us behind the scenes on growing up totally “average,” developing and conquering an eating disorder, and why she decided not to have kids after struggling with infertility.
Ultimately, she reveals how she let go of the hustle, stopped trying to prove her worth, and released control of the outcomes in her life.
Change is possible.
She is a testament to the fact that deciding to change your narrative, the stories you tell yourself, and replacing negative thoughts with positive ones about every situation you are in, can change the course of your life.
Hit PLAY on this episode to hear how to practice a little bit more love and acceptance toward yourself and get out of your own way.
