Most of us think the thing standing between us and the life we want is an external problem.
And while those things absolutely matter, there’s something I’ve noticed over and over again in my own life and in the lives of my clients:
We can change the circumstances and still end up feeling exactly the same.
In this episode, I’m exploring why that happens.
We talk about:
If you’ve ever felt like you’re constantly trying to improve your life but somehow keep ending up in the same place, this episode is for you.

Most people think over-functioning just means “doing too much.”
But what I’ve realized — both personally and through working with clients — is that over-functioning doesn’t actually look the same for everyone.
Are you an Achiever, a Manager, a Harmonizer, or the Self-Reliant type?
In this episode, I’m breaking down the 4 Over-Functioning Archetypes I most commonly see in women who feel exhausted, resentful, disconnected from themselves, and like everything falls on them.
We talk about:
One important thing to understand:
You will probably relate to ALL of these archetypes to some degree.
These are not rigid personality boxes.
They’re adaptive patterns — ways we learn to move through the world in order to feel safe, loved, successful, needed, or in control.
Most people have one primary archetype that tends to lead, with secondary patterns that show up depending on the environment, relationship, or season of life they’re in.
The goal of this work isn’t to shame these patterns.
It’s to finally see them clearly — so we can stop mistaking conditioned behaviors for our personalities.

In this episode, we’re diving into the psychology of resentment — especially for overfunctioners who feel like they’re carrying everything on their shoulders.
If you’ve ever found yourself thinking:
…this episode is for you.
We explore:
This episode is an invitation to start seeing resentment not as proof that something is wrong with you — but as information about the parts of yourself you haven’t felt safe to embody yet.

A lot of overfunctioning looks loving on the surface.
It looks like:
But underneath that, there’s often something much deeper happening.
In this episode, I’m breaking down why so much overfunctioning, people pleasing, and over-giving is actually rooted in self-protection — not because you’re selfish or manipulative, but because your system learned that being helpful, easy, useful, or needed was how you stayed safe, connected, and valued.
We talk about:
This episode is for the person who’s realizing:
“I thought I was just being caring… but maybe there’s more underneath this than I realized.”

If you’ve ever felt like everything falls on you…
like you’re the one keeping things running, keeping things smooth, keeping everyone okay…
this episode will help you understand WHY.
Because this isn’t just your personality.
It’s something you learned.
In this episode, I’m breaking down how overfunctioning actually gets wired—often in really subtle ways—and why it can feel so hard to change, even when you start to see it.
We’ll talk about:
If you’ve been trying to do less, set boundaries, or stop overgiving—but it never quite sticks—this will help you understand why.
And more importantly, it will help you start to see yourself with a lot more clarity and compassion.
If this resonates, this is exactly the kind of work we do in a Pattern Reading.
We look at where you’re taking on responsibility that isn’t actually yours, how your patterns are showing up, and how to start shifting them in a way that feels grounded and sustainable.

If you’ve been listening to these episodes and thinking:
“okay… but what actually happens if I change this?”
This one is for you.
Because one of the biggest fears that comes up when you start to recognize overfunctioning patterns is:
Will everything fall apart if I stop holding it all together?
Will people be upset with me?
Will I lose relationships… or even my job?
In this episode, I’m breaking down what actually happens when you start to shift out of being the one who carries everything—both logistically and emotionally.
And why the fear you feel is often coming from the lens you’re seeing things through, not what’s actually true.
We get into:
Because this isn’t about blowing your life up.
It’s about raising your standards and allowing your life—and your relationships—to meet you there.

If you feel like everything falls on you…
like you’re the one holding it all together, managing everything, thinking ahead for everyone else—
this episode is for you.
Because it probably doesn’t feel like a choice.
It feels like:
if you don’t do it, no one else will
things will fall through the cracks
everything will fall apart
And honestly… that might even be true in some situations.
But there’s another layer to this that most people don’t realize.
Because even when this pattern feels necessary…
there are deeper reasons it keeps going—and why it’s so hard to shift.
In this episode, I’m breaking down the hidden ways overfunctioning is actually working for you—
and why that’s what keeps you stuck in it.
We get into:
I also share personal examples from my own relationship and client work so you can see how this actually plays out in real life—and what starts to shift when you begin to see it clearly.
Because this isn’t just about doing less.
It’s about understanding why it feels like you have to do so much in the first place.
If this resonated, you can book a Pattern Reading to uncover how this shows up in your life and how to start shifting it.

In this episode, I’m breaking down a pattern I see in so many women — and one I didn’t even realize I was in myself.
It’s not just about doing too much or taking on too much responsibility.
It’s the emotional labor you’re carrying without even realizing it.
We get into:
If you’ve ever felt like everything is on you… or like you’re constantly managing how others feel, this episode will likely hit close to home.

If you’ve ever felt like everything is on you—like you’re the one holding it all together—this episode is for you.
I’m breaking down the three stages of overfunctioning and how this pattern shows up in your work, relationships, and day-to-day life.
Because this isn’t just about doing too much—it’s about the underlying belief that:
“If I don’t hold everything together, it will all fall apart.”
Once you see it, you can start to change it.

In this episode, I unpack a belief many entrepreneurs carry — that success requires forcing yourself to do things that feel miserable — and how to tell the difference between a real growth edge and something that simply isn’t aligned.
When things feel hard or unclear in your business, it’s easy to assume the problem is that you’re not doing enough. But in my experience working with business owners, the opposite is often true.
In this episode, I break down two patterns I see constantly when people feel stuck in business: doing too much, and doing too little because you’re overthinking everything.
Both patterns usually come from the same root issue: not being able to tell the difference between a growth edge and true misalignment.
We also talk about why confusion can actually feel safer than clarity, how Human Design can help you develop better discernment in business, and why subconscious beliefs often keep us stuck even after we gain awareness.
In This EpisodeIf you’d like a refresher on Human Design signature and not-self themes, I reference them in episode 2. The 5 Energy Types that Could Transform Your Life (And How to Find Yours)
Energetic Business Collective is currently open for enrollment.
Inside the program we combine Human Design, subconscious belief work, and practical business experimentation so you can build a business that actually works with your energy instead of constantly fighting against it.
