Sometimes we marathon moms can quickly slide into perfectionism -seeking perfect actions, decisions, and results. What pressure! When we get our expectations set on perfection and it doesn’t come, what’s our response then?
Amanda Colliatie will walk us through four buckets - Blame, Shame, Escape, and Control- that moms find themselves pulling from in their moments of distress. We’ll learn to recognize this in ourselves and get some action items for stopping the cycle? Regardless of if we're struggling with perfectionism, anxiety, depression O. C. D. parent-child conflict, the “Hurt Cycle” is one to be aware of and have solution steps in place for stepping out of the cycle of blame, shame, escape, or control (from the Restoration Therapy Model).
