As we finish our "Prayer" series this week, we turn to prayers of repentance. Psalms 32 and 51 are excellent examples of a follower of God (David) acknowledging his sin, confessing, repenting, seeking forgiveness, establishing new patterns, and teaching others. Why do we have any reason to think God will hear our prayers of repentance? Because a broken and contrite heart he will not despise, and he loves all who turn to him in Christ. Have you come clean with God, and taught others to do the same?

But with the aid of our loving heavenly Father, we can pray boldly for his greater glory, the advance of his kingdom, and all our other requests, because we know that whether he grants or denies, he is always at work for our good - even when we can't see it.
