# PRAY_0405: Thanksgiving & Worship
## Opening (30-60s)
Dear heavenly Father, we come before Your throne with hearts overflowing with gratitude. You are the giver of every good and perfect gift, and tonight we pause to honor You for who You are. Not just for what You have done, but for Your very nature, Your faithfulness, and Your boundless love.
Tonight, as this day draws to a close, we invite You into this sacred space of worship. Let our words rise like incense before You. Let every syllable of praise carry the weight of our genuine thankfulness. We are Yours, Father, and we worship You.
## Scripture Foundation (60-90s)
The Psalmist David wrote in Psalm one hundred, verse four: "Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him and bless His name." What a beautiful invitation, Father.
You have opened the gates for us. You have invited us into Your courts. Not because of our righteousness, but because of Yours. We enter with thanksgiving tonight because You have made a way for us to draw near.
And in Colossians chapter three, verse seventeen, Paul writes: "And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him." Whatever we do, Father, let it be an act of worship.
## Intercession (2-4 min)
Father, we thank You for the breath in our lungs this day. Each heartbeat was a gift from Your hand. Each sunrise was Your declaration that mercy is new every morning. We did not earn this day, yet You gave it freely, and we receive it with grateful hearts.
We thank You for provision, Lord. You fed us when we were hungry. You clothed us when we were bare. You provided shelter over our heads and rest for our weary bodies. Not one of our needs went unmet today, because You are Jehovah Jireh, our Provider.
We worship You for Your faithfulness, Father. When we stumbled, You caught us. When we doubted, You remained steady. When the world shook beneath our feet, You were our solid rock. Your mercies have been new every morning, and Your faithfulness reaches to the heavens.
We give You praise for Your protection, Lord. You kept watch over our families while we slept. You guarded our homes from harm. You placed a hedge of protection around our children, our parents, and those we love. No weapon formed against us has prospered because You are our shield.
Father, we thank You for the gift of salvation. Through the blood of Jesus, we have been redeemed from the power of darkness and translated into the kingdom of Your dear Son. What a magnificent exchange. We were lost, but now we are found. We were dead, but now we live.
We worship You for Your grace, Lord. Your grace that meets us in our weakest moments. Your grace that carries us when we cannot walk. Your grace that speaks peace over our anxious hearts. We do not deserve it, yet You pour it out abundantly.
Father, we thank You for the gift of community, Lord. You did not design us to walk alone. You gave us brothers and sisters in faith, a family to lean on, a family to pray with. We worship You for the church, the body of Christ, united across every nation and tongue. May we grow stronger together in love.
We give You thanks for answered prayers, Father. Some of us cried out to You this year and saw miracles unfold. Others are still waiting, still trusting, still believing. We worship You in the waiting, because You are faithful even when we cannot yet see the outcome.
## Declaration (30-60s)
We declare tonight that we will be people of praise. We will not be silent about Your goodness. We will declare Your works among the peoples and tell of Your mighty deeds. Our mouths will be filled with Your praise from morning until night.
## Closing (30-45s)
Father, as we close this prayer, let our worship continue beyond these words. Let gratitude be the posture of our hearts as we rest tonight. You are worthy of all praise, all honor, and all glory, forever and ever.
Go with us into this evening. Let us sleep in peace, knowing that the God of the universe watches over us. We say together: Amen. Join us again in the next hour as we continue to seek the Lord together in prayer.
