בָּרוּךְ אַתָּה יְיָ, אֱלֹהֵֽינוּ מֶֽלֶךְ הָעוֹלָם,
Blessed are You, God our Lord, King of the universe,
אֲשֶׁר קִדְּשָֽׁנוּ בְּמִצְוֹתָיו, וְצִוָּֽנוּ
Who has sanctified us with His commandments and Who has commanded us
עַל דִּבְרֵי תוֹרָה:
regarding the words of Torah.
וְהַעֲרֶב נָא יְיָ אֱלֹהֵֽינוּ אֶת דִּבְרֵי תוֹרָתְךָ בְּפִֽינוּ,
Please, God, our Lord, make the words of the Torah sweet in our mouths
וּבְפִי כָל עַמְּךָ בֵּית יִשְׂרָאֵל,
and in the mouths of all Your people, the House of Yisrael.
וְנִהְיֶה אֲנַֽחְנוּ וְצֶאֱצָאֵֽינוּ, וְצֶאֱצָאֵי כָל עַמְּךָ בֵּית יִשְׂרָאֵל,
May we and our offspring, and the offspring of Your entire people, the House of Yisrael,
כֻּלָּֽנוּ יוֹדְעֵי שְׁמֶֽךָ וְלוֹמְדֵי תוֹרָתְךָ לִשְׁמָהּ.
all know Your name and study Your Torah for its own sake.
בָּרוּךְ אַתָּה יְיָ, הַמְלַמֵּד תּוֹרָה לְעַמּוֹ יִשְׂרָאֵל:
Blessed are You, God, Who teaches the Torah to His people Yisrael.
בָּרוּךְ אַתָּה יְיָ, אֱלֹהֵֽינוּ מֶֽלֶךְ הָעוֹלָם,
Blessed are You, God our Lord, King of the universe,
אֲשֶׁר בָּֽחַר בָּֽנוּ מִכָּל הָעַמִּים וְנָֽתַן לָֽנוּ אֶת תּוֹרָתוֹ.
Who chose us from all the nations and gave us His Torah.
בָּרוּךְ אַתָּה יְיָ, נוֹתֵן הַתּוֹרָה:
Blessed are You, God, the Giver of the Torah.

May it be Your will, God, my Lord, and God of my fathers,
שֶׁתַּצִּילֵֽנִי הַיּוֹם וּבְכָל יוֹם מֵעַזֵּי פָנִים, וּמֵעַזּוּת פָּנִים,
to rescue me today and every day from brazen men and impudence,
מֵאָדָם רָע, וּמֵחָבֵר רָע, וּמִשָּׁכֵן רָע,
from an evil mishap, from the evil eye,
וּמִפֶּֽגַע רָע, מֵעַֽיִן הָרָע,
rom an evil man, from an evil friend, from an evil neighbor,
מִלָּשׁוֹן הָרָע, מִמַּלְשִׁינוּת, מֵעֵדוּת שֶֽׁקֶר, מִשִּׂנְאַת הַבְּרִיּוֹת,
from evil gossip, from slander, from false testimony, from the hatred
מֵעֲלִילָה, מִמִּיתָה מְשֻׁנָּה, מֵחֳלָיִם רָעִים,
from libel, from unnatural death, from severe sickness,
וּמִמִּקְרִים רָעִים, וּמִשָּׂטָן הַמַּשְׁחִית,
from undesirable events, from a destructive heavenly adversary,
מִדִּין קָשֶׁה, וּמִבַּֽעַל דִּין קָשֶׁה, בֵּין שֶׁהוּא בֶן בְּרִית, וּבֵין שֶׁאֵינוֹ בֶן בְּרִית.
from a harsh judgment, from a harsh litigant, whether or not he is a member of the covenant,
וּמִדִּינָהּ שֶׁל גֵּיהִנֹּם:
and from the punishment of Gehinom.

וִיהִי רָצוֹן מִלְּפָנֶֽיךָ יְיָ אֱלֹהֵֽינוּ וֵאלֹהֵי אֲבוֹתֵֽינוּ,
May it be Your will, God, our Lord and God of our fathers,
שֶׁתַּרְגִּילֵֽנוּ בְּתוֹרָתֶֽךָ, וְתַדְבִּיקֵֽנוּ בְּמִצְוֹתֶֽיךָ,
to habituate us in [the study of] Your Torah and make us cleave to Your commandments.
וְאַל תְּבִיאֵֽנוּ לֹא לִידֵי חֵטְא וְלֹא לִידֵי עֲבֵרָה וְעָוֹן, וְלֹא לִידֵי נִסָּיוֹן
Do not bring us close to sin, transgression or iniquity, nor close to a challenge,
וְלֹא לִידֵי בִזָּיוֹן, וְאַל יִשְׁלוֹט בָּֽנוּ יֵֽצֶר הָרָע,
nor close to disgrace. Let not the evil inclination master us.
וְהַרְחִיקֵֽנוּ מֵאָדָם רָע, וּמֵחָבֵר רָע,
Keep us far from a wicked person and a wicked friend.

Who removes sleep from my eyes and slumber from my eyelids.
וִיהִי רָצוֹן מִלְּפָנֶֽיךָ יְיָ אֱלֹהֵֽינוּ וֵאלֹהֵי אֲבוֹתֵֽינוּ,
May it be Your will, God, our Lord and God of our fathers,
