Day 4: The Last Supper wasn't perfect by "mom standards"!
Matthew 26:26-30 and Act 2:42-47
ACTION STEPS:
1) Write down your family's Easter traditions, and ask your family what things they enjoy most about the Easter season.
2) Do more of the things you all love, and stop stressing about the things no one cares about.
3) If certain traditions have special meaning, either religious or generational, share those stories with your family.
4) If you've been hurt/betrayed by someone you love and you don't know how to let it go, ask Jesus to help you. He can do the impossible. Even if you don't think they deserve forgiveness, holding onto the pain is hurting you more than you know.
5) Read Acts 2:42-47 at the bottom of this email. Peter describes the body of believers. That is what I want my family to reflect. Disclaimer: I might not want them to gather "DAILY" unless someone else is cooking!
6) Listen to Prayers From a Mom Podcast this week Monday-Thursday as we prepare for Easter.
FOCUSED PRAYER:
Father,
As I prepare my heart and home for Easter, I pray that everything I do reflects you. Fill my house with joy and laughter. Help me let go of unnecessary things that aren't serving you or my family but causing us to be so busy we can't enjoy the moment. Show me ways to teach my family to remember your sacrifice and celebrate your resurrection. Where I am holding onto unforgiveness, help me let it go. When things aren't perfect in my family, remind me that perfection is not the goal; but love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control are. And all those things are present when I am following your lead. Let my family reflect the body of believers Peter describes in Acts 2:42-47.
In Jesus' name, Amen!
THIS WEEK'S SCRIPTURES:
Luke 22:1-35 (Jesus Prophesies the Location of the Last Supper)
Matthew 26:6-13 (A Woman Anoints Jesus)

Give them strength and courage to keep going when they are exhausted from running, hiding, or fighting. Confuse the enemy so that they are powerless. Expose the motives behind this attack and bring the help that Ukraine needs from the North, South, East, and West.
