The prophet Isaiah wrote with a similar backdrop. He wrote, "See, darkeness covers the Earth, thick darkness over the peoples." Isaiah was called to intercede on behalf of Israel. It is with this backdrop that Joni calls us to pray for the United States of America during election week.
