This is the lesson that was taught at CTCC. With the theme of camp being "I catch, He cleans," We spent time learning about the process of Jesus cleaning and what that entails.

Our theme this year at camp was "I catch, He cleans". We opened our camp with a lesson on understanding our role in bringing someone to Christ with the right attitude and trusting Jesus to take care of the rest.

Note: I mistakenly said that Corporal Desmond Doss was in the Marine Corps and that the Marines took Hacksaw Ridge. It was the United States Army that fought at Hacksaw Ridge, and it was the Army that Corporal Doss served in. I apologize and will do better research in the future.

Watch enough crime shows or courtroom dramas, and you will hear, “I'm innocent,” or “I didn't do it.”

Our human default is to justify ourselves. We make excuses ("It's not that bad"), we make comparisons ("At least I'm not as bad as that guy"), or we blame our circumstances. We will go the extra mile trying to prove we are "good enough."

But trying to earn right standing with God through our own perfect performance is exhausting.

Last Sunday, we wrapped up our Fix Your Faith series with the answer to this question: What Makes You Think You're Right With God? We are going to look honestly at what it means to stop defending our flaws, drop our arguments, and step into the incredible freedom of being justified by faith alone.

It is easy to say we have faith on a Sunday morning. But what happens when we walk out the church doors?

A check that is signed but never cashed is just a useless piece of paper. It holds immense promise, but until it is put into action, it changes nothing. The same is true for our faith!

We’ve all been a Martha situation.

​We get so caught up in the "doing"—the errands, the chores, the deadlines—that we forget how to just "be." In Luke 10:38–42, Martha was busy serving. A good thing to do. Jesus reminded her that her sister Mary had chosen the "one thing" that truly mattered: simply sitting at His feet and listening.

​Life is loud, but this Sunday is your chance to turn down the volume. Join us as we pause the "much serving" and find rest in the Word. You don’t have to be perfect or "busy" here—you just have to be present.
