  • Is Jesus Precious to You?
Jesus came to this earth over 2000 years ago on a rescue mission. If we take a look around us today or even back in history we see one big barrier separating us from a holy and righteous God. That barrier is “SIN”. It may only be a three letter word, but it is what is separating YOU from God. his sin-barrier is too much for us to take on ourselves. In fact there is no way we can remove it on our own. That is why God sent someone to REMOVE it completely, a Saviour; Jesus Christ. God sent His OWN Son Jesus, to die in your place. He was crucified on a cross and shed His blood for YOU!
    Bible Scriptures: Darby Translation
Psalms 19:7-11 “The law of Jehovah is perfect, restoring the soul; the testimony of Jehovah is sure, making wise the simple; The precepts of Jehovah are right, rejoicing the heart; the commandment of Jehovah is pure, enlightening the eyes; The fear of Jehovah is clean, enduring for ever; the judgments of Jehovah are truth, they are righteous altogether: They are more precious than gold, yea, than much fine gold; and sweeter than honey and the dropping of the honeycomb. Moreover, by them is thy servant enlightened; in keeping them there is great reward.”
1 Peter 2:6 “Behold, I lay in Zion a corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believes on him shall not be put to shame.”
1 Peter 1:18-19 “knowing that ye have been redeemed, not by corruptible [things, as] silver or gold, from your vain conversation handed down from [your] fathers, but by precious blood, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot, [the blood] of Christ,”

  • Three Encounters with Christ
In the following gospel preaching, you will hear of three men who each had an encounter with the Lord Jesus. Have a listen to this message to find out what took place in each of these encounters with Christ.
    Bible Scriptures: Darby Translation
Luke 5:4-11 “But when he ceased speaking, he said to Simon, Draw out into the deep [water] and let down your nets for a haul. And Simon answering said to him, Master, having laboured through the whole night we have taken nothing, but at thy word I will let down the net. And having done this, they enclosed a great multitude of fishes. And their net broke. And they beckoned to their partners who were in the other ship to come and help them, and they came, and filled both the ships, so that they were sinking. But Simon Peter, seeing it, fell at Jesus’ knees, saying, Depart from me, for I am a sinful man, Lord.  For astonishment had laid hold on him, and on all those who were with him, at the haul of fishes which they had taken;  and in like manner also on James and John, sons of Zebedee, who were partners with Simon. And Jesus said to Simon, Fear not; henceforth thou shalt be catching men.And having run the ships on shore, leaving all they followed him.”
Luke 18:9-14 “And he spoke also to some, who trusted in themselves that they were righteous and made nothing of all the rest [of men], this parable: Two men went up into the temple to pray; the one a Pharisee, and the other a tax-gatherer.  The Pharisee, standing, prayed thus to himself: God, I thank thee that I am not as the rest of men, rapacious, unjust, adulterers, or even as this tax-gatherer. I fast twice in the week, I tithe everything I gain.  And the tax-gatherer, standing afar off, would not lift up even his eyes to heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, O God, have compassion on me, the sinner.  I say unto you, This [man] went down to his house justified rather than that [other]. For every one who exalts himself shall be humbled, and he that humbles himself shall be exalted.”
1 Timothy 1:15 “Faithful [is] the word, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom *I* am [the] first.”
Acts 17:30-31 “God therefore, having overlooked the times of ignorance, now enjoins men that they shall all everywhere repent, because he has set a day in which he is going to judge the habitable earth in righteousness by [the] man whom he has appointed, giving the proof [of it] to all [in] having raised him from among [the] dead.”

  • Trust & Confidence
Jesus is the only person you can trust and have full confidence in his promises. Even the very best friends and family can let you down. In the Gospel, a saviour is presented who can meet the need and satisfy our souls.
    Bible Scriptures: Darby Translation
Psalms 118:8 “It is better to trust in Jehovah than to put confidence in man”
Isaiah 26:4 “Confide ye in Jehovah for ever; for in Jah, Jehovah, is the rock of ages.”
1 Peter 2:6 “Behold, I lay in Zion a corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believes on him shall not be put to shame.”

  • The Power of God
God is able to save you and cleanse you from your sins through the work Jesus completed at Calvary’s cross. Have you been redeemed?  There is power in the blood of Jesus to save you and bring you into God’s presence. The power of God makes it possible simply believe and trust in Jesus and he will make all things new.
    Bible Scriptures: Darby Translation
Isaiah 50:2 “Wherefore did I come, and there was no man? I called, and there was none to answer? Is my hand at all shortened that I cannot redeem, or have I no power to deliver?”
Luke 23:45-46 “And the sun was darkened, and the veil of the temple rent in the midst. And Jesus, having cried with a loud voice, said, Father, into thy hands I commit my spirit. And having said this, he expired.”
Hebrews 6:18-20 “that by two unchangeable things, in which [it was] impossible that God should lie, we might have a strong encouragement, who have fled for refuge to lay hold on the hope set before us, which we have as anchor of the soul, both secure and firm, and entering into that within the veil,  where Jesus is entered as forerunner for us, become for ever a high priest according to the order of Melchisedec.”

  • Sight
Many people were held by Jesus and their sight was restored. This man in John 9 was a testimony of the power of God in Jesus.
    Bible Scriptures: Darby Translation
John 9:1-3 “And as he passed on, he saw a man blind from birth. And his disciples asked him, saying, Rabbi, who sinned, this [man] or his parents, that he should be born blind? Jesus answered, Neither has this [man] sinned nor his parents, but that the works of God should be manifested in him.”
John 9:35-38 “Jesus heard that they had cast him out, and having found him, he said to him, Thou, dost thou believe on the Son of God?  He answered and said, And who is he, Lord, that I may believe on him?  And Jesus said to him, Thou hast both seen him, and he that speaks with thee is he.  And he said, I believe, Lord: and he did him homage.”
Matthew 17:8 “ And lifting up their eyes, they saw no one but Jesus alone.”
Hebrews 2:8-9 “For in subjecting all things to him, he has left nothing unsubject to him. But now we see not yet all things subjected to him,but we see Jesus, who [was] made some little inferior to angels on account of the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour;”
1 Peter 1:18-19 “knowing that ye have been redeemed, not by corruptible [things, as] silver or gold, from your vain conversation handed down from [your] fathers, but by precious blood, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot, [the blood] of Christ,”

  • Is Jesus Among You?
It can be very easy for believers to fall into a routine of things throughout the Christian life. Sometimes we can get so occupied with the things at school, work or in our lives that we leave the Lord on the outside. Is Jesus among you?
    Bible Scripture: Darby Translation
Luke 2:41-46 “And his parents went yearly to Jerusalem at the feast of the passover. And when he was twelve years old, and they went up [to Jerusalem] according to the custom of the feast and had completed the days, as they returned, the boy Jesus remained behind in Jerusalem, and his parents knew not [of it]; but, supposing him to be in the company that journeyed together, they went a day’s journey, and sought him among their relations and acquaintances:  and not having found him they returned to Jerusalem seeking him. And it came to pass, after three days they found him in the temple, sitting in the midst of the teachers and hearing them and asking them questions.”

  • The Precious Blood of Jesus
The believer is able to enjoy the full blessings of God because of the precious blood of Jesus. How much do you value the blood of Jesus?  Every Christian should appreciate Jesus more day by day as we realise what we’ve been saved from and how much he loves us.
    Bible Scriptures: Darby Translation
Romans 3:24-25 “being justified freely by his grace through the redemption which [is] in Christ Jesus; whom God has set forth a mercy-seat, through faith in his blood”
Acts 20:26-28 “Wherefore I witness to you this day, that I am clean from the blood of all,  for I have not shrunk from announcing to you all the counsel of God. Take heed therefore to yourselves, and to all the flock, wherein the Holy Spirit has set you as overseers, to shepherd the assembly of God, which he has purchased with the blood of his own.”
Revelation 5:9-10 “And they sing a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open its seals; because thou hast been slain, and hast redeemed to God, by thy blood, out of every tribe, and tongue, and people, and nation, and made them to our God kings and priests; and they shall reign over the earth.”

  • Who hath believed our report?
Do you need Salvation? Do you need saving from your sins? Today by God’s grace the Gospel invitation is still being preached so that you may come to know Jesus as your Saviour. Listen to the following Gospel message to discover the love, grace and salvation of God that is available for you through the work of Christ.
    Bible Scriptures: Darby Translation
Isaiah 53:1 “Who hath believed our report? and to whom hath the arm of Jehovah been revealed?”
Isaiah 53:6 “All we like sheep have gone astray, we have turned every one to his own way; and Jehovah hath laid upon him the iniquity of us all.”
Luke 19:1-10 “And he entered and passed through Jericho. And behold, [there was] a man by name called Zacchaeus, and he was chief tax-gatherer, and he was rich.  And he sought to see Jesus who he was: and he could not for the crowd, because he was little in stature.  And running on before, he got up into a sycamore that he might see him, for he was going to pass that [way].  And when he came up to the place, Jesus looked up and saw him, and said to him, Zacchaeus, make haste and come down, for to-day I must remain in thy house. And he made haste and came down, and received him with joy. And all murmured when they saw [it], saying, He has turned in to lodge with a sinful man. But Zacchaeus stood and said to the Lord, Behold, Lord, the half of my goods I give to the poor, and if I have taken anything from any man by false accusation, I return [him] fourfold. And Jesus said to him, To-day salvation is come to this house, inasmuch as he also is a son of Abraham; for the Son of man has come to seek and to save that which is lost.”
Luke 23:39-43 “Now one of the malefactors who had been hanged spoke insultingly to him, saying, Art not thou the Christ? save thyself and us. But the other answering rebuked him, saying, Dost *thou* too not fear God, thou that art under the same judgment? and we indeed justly, for we receive the just recompense of what we have done; but this [man] has done nothing amiss. And he said to Jesus, Remember me, [Lord,] when thou comest in thy kingdom. And Jesus said to him, Verily I say to thee, To-day shalt thou be with me in paradise.”
Luke 23:34 “Jesus said, Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do.”

  • God’s Written Word
In the following address, you will hear about God’s written word and what God has written in His word.
    Bible Scriptures: Darby Translation
Hebrews 10:4-10 “For blood of bulls and goats [is] incapable of taking away sins. Wherefore coming into the world he says, Sacrifice and offering thou willedst not; but thou hast prepared me a body. Thou tookest no pleasure in burnt-offerings and sacrifices for sin. Then I said, Lo, I come (in [the] roll of the book it is written of me) to do, O God, thy will. Above, saying Sacrifices and offerings and burnt-offerings and sacrifices for sin thou willest not, neither tookest pleasure in (which are offered according to the law); then he said, Lo, I come to do thy will. He takes away the first that he may establish the second; by which will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.”
2 Corinthians 3:1-18 “Do we begin again to commend ourselves? or do we need, as some, commendatory letters to you, or [commendatory] from you? Ye are our letter, written in our hearts, known and read of all men, being manifested to be Christ’s epistle ministered by us, written, not with ink, but [the] Spirit of [the] living God; not on stone tables, but on fleshy tables of [the] heart. And such confidence have we through the Christ towards God: not that we are competent of ourselves to think anything as of ourselves, but our competency [is] of God; who has also made us competent, [as] ministers of [the] new covenant; not of letter, but of spirit. For the letter kills, but the Spirit quickens. (But if the ministry of death, in letters, graven in stones, began with glory, so that the children of Israel could not fix their eyes on the face of Moses, on account of the glory of his face, [a glory] which is annulled; how shall not rather the ministry of the Spirit subsist in glory? For if the ministry of condemnation [be] glory, much rather the ministry of righteousness abounds in glory. For also that [which was] glorified is not glorified in this respect, on account of the surpassing glory. For if that annulled [was introduced] with glory, much rather that which abides [subsists] in glory.  Having therefore such hope, we use much boldness:  and not according as Moses put a veil on his own face, so that the children of Israel should not fix their eyes on the end of that annulled. But their thoughts have been darkened, for unto this day the same veil remains in reading the old covenant, unremoved, which in Christ is annulled. But unto this day, when Moses is read, the veil lies upon their heart. But when it shall turn to [the] Lord, the veil is taken away.) Now the Lord is the Spirit, but where the Spirit of [the] Lord [is, there is] liberty. But we all, looking on the glory of the Lord, with unveiled face, are transformed according to the same image from glory to glory, even as by [the] Lord [the] Spirit.”

Romans 8:3-4 “For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God, having sent his own Son, in likeness of flesh of sin, and for sin, has condemned sin in the flesh, in order that the righteous requirement of the law should be fulfilled in us, who do not walk according to flesh but according to Spirit.”
Hebrews 7:25 “Whence also he is able to save completely those who approach by him to God, always living to intercede for them.”
