  • The Worth of Your Soul
What do you value most in your life? Money, Your Job, Cars, House… How about your soul? Jesus said that your soul is worth more than the rest of the world put together. God sent his only son Jesus into this world to rescue you and to save your soul. The Bible tells us that the Lord Jesus journeyed to Calvary’s cross to redeem us from our sins and bring us into the joy of knowing him as our saviour. This joy can be yours today if you surrender to Christ and accept him as saviour and Lord.
    Bible Scriptures: Darby Translation
Luke 12:16-20 “And he spoke a parable to them, saying, The land of a certain rich man brought forth abundantly. And he reasoned within himself saying, What shall I do? for I have not [a place] where I shall lay up my fruits. And he said, This will I do: I will take away my granaries and build greater, and there I will lay up all my produce and my good things; and I will say to my soul, Soul, thou hast much good things laid by for many years; repose thyself, eat, drink, be merry. But God said to him, Fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee; and whose shall be what thou hast prepared?”
Genesis 2:7 “ And Jehovah Elohim formed Man, dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and Man became a living soul”
John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only-begotten Son, that whosoever believes on him may not perish, but have life eternal”
1 Peter 2:25 “ For ye were going astray as sheep, but have now returned to the shepherd and overseer of your souls”

  • Vessels for Honour
The believer has been called to be a vessel that honours the Lord. In the following address, we will hear from God’s word how we can be useful vessels for the Lord as we seek to serve him in our Christian pathway.
    Bible Scriptures: Darby Translation
Romans 9:21-24 “Or has not the potter authority over the clay, out of the same lump to make one vessel to honour, and another to dishonour? And if God, minded to shew his wrath and to make his power known, endured with much long-suffering vessels of wrath fitted for destruction; and that he might make known the riches of his glory upon vessels of mercy, which he had before prepared for glory,us, whom he has also called, not only from amongst [the] Jews, but also from amongst [the] nations?”
2 Corinthians 4:6-7 “Because [it is] the God who spoke that out of darkness light should shine who has shone in our hearts for the shining forth of the knowledge of the glory of God in [the] face of [Jesus] Christ. But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the surpassingness of the power may be of God, and not from us”
2 Timothy 2:20-26 “But in a great house there are not only gold and silver vessels, but also wooden and earthen; and some to honour, and some to dishonour. If therefore one shall have purified himself from these, [in separating himself from them], he shall be a vessel to honour, sanctified, serviceable to the Master, prepared for every good work. But youthful lusts flee, and pursue righteousness, faith, love, peace, with those that call upon the Lord out of a pure heart.  But foolish and senseless questionings avoid, knowing that they beget contentions. And a bondman of [the] Lord ought not to contend, but be gentle towards all; apt to teach; forbearing; in meekness setting right those who oppose, if God perhaps may sometime give them repentance to acknowledgment of [the] truth, and that they may awake up out of the snare of the devil, [who are] taken by him, for *his* will.”
Exodus 25:29-30 “And thou shalt make the dishes thereof, and cups thereof, and goblets thereof, and bowls thereof, with which to pour out: of pure gold shalt thou make them. And thou shalt set upon the table shewbread before me continually.”

Isaiah 32:1-2 “Behold, a king shall reign in righteousness, and princes shall rule in judgment. And a man shall be as a hiding-place from the wind, and a covert from the storm; as brooks of water in a dry place, as the shadow of a great rock in a thirsty land.”

  • Jesus a Name above all Others
The name Jesus means God Saves. Jesus Christ God’s beloved son has been given a name above all names. It is only by coming to him that we can be saved and brought into a new relationship with God.
    Bible Scriptures: Darby Translation
Ecclesiastes 9:13-15 “This also have I seen as wisdom under the sun, and it was great unto me. There was a little city, and few men within it; and there came a great king against it, and encompassed it, and built great bulwarks against it: and there was found in it a poor wise man, who by his wisdom delivered the city; but no man remembered that poor man. Then said I, Wisdom is better than strength; but the poor man’s wisdom is despised, and his words are not heard”
2 Corinthians 8-9 “I do not speak as commanding [it], but through the zeal of others, and proving the genuineness of your love. For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that for your sakes he, being rich, became poor, in order that *ye* by *his* poverty might be enriched”
1 Corinthians 1:23-24 “but *we* preach Christ crucified, to Jews an offence, and to nations foolishness; but to those that [are] called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ God’s power and God’s wisdom”
1 Corinthians 2:7-8 “But we speak God’s wisdom in [a] mystery, that hidden [wisdom] which God had predetermined before the ages for our glory: which none of the princes of this age knew, (for had they known, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory”

  • What can the righteous do?
The foundations of God’s word are being destroyed today everywhere we look. Mankind says We’ve got a better answer to what God’s word says.  As a Christian what can you do? As King David asked, “What can the righteous do?” Listen to the following address, and hear from the Bible how a Christian can remain faithful when depending on the Lord.
    Bible Scriptures: Darby Translation
Isaiah 28:16 “Therefore thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Behold, I lay for foundation in Zion a stone, a tried stone, a precious corner-stone, a sure foundation: he that trusteth shall not make haste.”
1 Corinthians 3:10-17 “According to the grace of God which has been given to me, as a wise architect, I have laid the foundation, but another builds upon it. But let each see how he builds upon it. For other foundation can no man lay besides that which [is] laid, which is Jesus Christ. Now if any one build upon [this] foundation, gold, silver, precious stones, wood, grass, straw, the work of each shall be made manifest; for the day shall declare [it], because it is revealed in fire; and the fire shall try the work of each what it is. If the work of any one which he has built upon [the foundation] shall abide, he shall receive a reward. If the work of any one shall be consumed, he shall suffer loss, but *he* shall be saved, but so as through [the] fire.  Do ye not know that ye are [the] temple of God, and [that] the Spirit of God dwells in you?  If any one corrupt the temple of God, *him* shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, and such are ye.”
2 Timothy 2:19 “Yet the firm foundation of God stands, having this seal, [The] Lord knows those that are his; and, Let every one who names the name of [the] Lord withdraw from iniquity.”
Isaiah 58:8 “ Then shall thy light break forth as the dawn, and thy health shall spring forth speedily; and thy righteousness shall go before thee, the glory of Jehovah shall be thy rearguard.”
Isaiah 58:12 “And they [that come] of thee shall build the old waste places: thou shalt raise up the foundations [that have remained] from generation to generation; and thou shalt be called, Repairer of the breaches, restorer of frequented paths.”

  • Waiting on the Lord
Naturally, people hate waiting. We live in a world where everyone wants everything now. The spirit of man has always been NOW NOW NOW. But God desires a people who diligently seek him out. In the following address, you will hear what the scriptures say about waiting on the Lord.
    Bible Scriptures: Darby Translation
Isaiah 40:26-31 “Lift up your eyes on high, and see! Who hath created these things, bringing out their host by number? He calleth them all by name; through the greatness of his might and strength of power, not one faileth. Why sayest thou, Jacob, and speakest, O Israel, My way is hid from Jehovah, and my right is passed away from my God? Dost thou not know, hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, Jehovah, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not nor tireth? There is no searching of his understanding. He giveth power to the faint; and to him that hath no might he increaseth strength. Even the youths shall faint and shall tire, and the young men shall stumble and fall; but they that wait upon Jehovah shall renew [their] strength: they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not tire; they shall walk, and not faint.”
John 11:1-8 “Now there was a certain [man] sick, Lazarus of Bethany, of the village of Mary and Martha her sister. It was [the] Mary who anointed the Lord with ointment and wiped his feet with her hair, whose brother Lazarus was sick. The sisters therefore sent to him, saying, Lord, behold, he whom thou lovest is sick. But when Jesus heard [it], he said, This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God may be glorified by it.  Now Jesus loved Martha, and her sister, and Lazarus. When therefore he heard, He is sick, he remained two days then in the place where he was. Then after this he says to his disciples, Let us go into Judaea again. The disciples say to him, Rabbi, [even but] now the Jews sought to stone thee, and goest thou thither again?”
John 11:17-20 “Jesus therefore [on] arriving found him to have been four days already in the tomb. Now Bethany was near Jerusalem, about fifteen stadia off, and many of the Jews came to Martha and Mary, that they might console them concerning their brother. Martha then, when she heard Jesus is coming, went to meet him; but Mary sat in the house.”
John 11:32-35 “Mary therefore, when she came where Jesus was, seeing him, fell at his feet, saying to him, Lord, if thou hadst been here, my brother had not died. Jesus therefore, when he saw her weeping, and the Jews who came with her weeping, was deeply moved in spirit, and was troubled, and said, Where have ye put him? They say to him, Lord, come and see. Jesus wept.”
John 12:1-3 “Jesus therefore, six days before the passover, came to Bethany, where was the dead [man] Lazarus, whom Jesus raised from among [the] dead. There therefore they made him a supper, and Martha served, but Lazarus was one of those at table with him. Mary therefore, having taken a pound of ointment of pure nard of great price, anointed the feet of Jesus, and wiped his feet with her hair, and the house was filled with the odour of the ointment.”
Revelation 3:10-11 “Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, *I* also will keep thee out of the hour of trial, which is about to come upon the whole habitable world, to try them that dwell upon the earth. I come quickly: hold fast what thou hast, that no one take thy crown.”

  • Is Jesus Christ Your Saviour?
    Is Jesus Christ Your Saviour?
    Bible Scriptures: Darby Translation
Luke 3:21-22 “And it came to pass, all the people having been baptised, and Jesus having been baptised and praying, that the heaven was opened, and the Holy Spirit descended in a bodily form as a dove upon him; and a voice came out of heaven, Thou art my beloved Son, in thee I have found my delight”
Luke 23:13-25 “And Pilate, having called together the chief priests and the rulers and the people, said to them, Ye have brought to me this man as turning away the people [to rebellion], and behold, I, having examined him before you, have found nothing criminal in this man as to the things of which ye accuse him; nor Herod either, for I remitted you to him, and behold, nothing worthy of death is done by him. Having chastised him therefore, I will release him. ( Now he was obliged to release one for them at the feast.) But they cried out in a mass saying, Away with this [man] and release Barabbas to us; who was one who, for a certain tumult which had taken place in the city, and [for] murder, had been cast into prison. Pilate therefore, desirous to release Jesus, again addressed [them]. But they cried out in reply saying, Crucify, crucify him. And he said the third time to them, What evil then has this [man] done? I have found no cause of death in him: I will chastise him therefore and release him. But they were urgent with loud voices, begging that he might be crucified. And their voices [and those of the chief priests] prevailed. And Pilate adjudged that what they begged should take place. And he released him who, for tumult and murder, had been cast into prison, whom they begged for, and Jesus he delivered up to their will.”
Philippians 2:7-11 “but emptied himself, taking a bondman’s form, taking his place in [the] likeness of men; and having been found in figure as a man, humbled himself, becoming obedient even unto death, and [that the] death of [the] cross. Wherefore also God highly exalted him, and granted him a name, that which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of heavenly and earthly and infernal [beings], and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ [is] Lord to God [the] Father’s glory.”
