Preaching To The Choir episodes

  • Doin' The Dude
It's a new book of the Bible. We're that much closer to the promised land. Moses just has a couple quick thoughts he wants to put out there before we do the thing. Shouldn't take more than a couple minutes.
We are on a journey to read and possibly understand the most popular sacred texts of all time. We're going to talk about these texts openly and honestly. If these books are important to you that might hurt your feelings. That is not our intention and we appreciate you watching and listening to our slow descent into madness.
We're back and we brought friends.

  • Why Don't You Want Your Presents?
You know what's reasonable? Murdering a woman's entire family and then expecting her to be ready to marry you after 1 month of mourning. This book has so many good lessons in it. It's almost like an all knowing creator only wrote down the most helpful lessons for us. This book is basically an instruction manual for life.

God loves murder and someone *finally* does it well enough to impress him but not before he murders a small village for having fun.

  • Get High With Me
God continues to be totally reasonable and tries to kill a man who does something he was given permission to do. When the man doesn't see the invisible angel god sends to earth god talks though a donkey. I wish I could make this stuff up.

  • Your Clothes Are Covered In Sin
It's time for Aaron to die so Moses and one of Aaron's sons take the old man up to a mountain, strip him naked and kill.....I mean god "takes him to heaven."
But Aaron's kid keeps his clothes because, you know, clothes can't go to heaven...yeah, that's it. Clothes can't go to heaven, don't worry about it.

  • Tassels And A Stoning
In this episode the book spends a totally reasonable amount of time discussing the moral complexities of capital punishment in relation to governmentally mandated religious practice before moving on to the equally severe topic of fashion and accessories.

Quin has read the Bible a lot. Jasper hasn't (but he can read). They're going to read it together. Quin is going to get angry. Jasper is going to be confused.
