AfterBirth: 9/16/19  Relationships, Change and TOUCHED OUT AF

AfterBirth is a fourth and more postpartum support group.

Amazing host Katelin led the group in talking about sex, how Touched Out means also the spouse, Martha asked her hubs if he wanted her to just lay there, Tiff told her spouse that alone time meant no one asking her anything and that included him.

Tiff also wondered where all her friends went after she had the kids, and how moving has been a good step so far. (Like we miss her locally, but notice how mature I'm being.)

Katelin's gonna go back to work, she's ready to do something amazing in conjunction with the amazing work she's doing of raising her boys.

Choosers 8/18/19 Talkin Vasectomy w/Sharfetter

Choosers, where we explore different pregnancy outcomes and birth  and fertilty choices. 

Adrian and I were co-workers at Houston Community College somewhere in the vicinity of 2004-2007, and we weren't especially close but have stayed in touch via social media. I noticed a post he had a few weeks ago and wanted to ask him about it. Like besides my brother, I don't know of any cis-gendered dudes that have gotten a vasectomy because they did not want to have children, and didn't want to lay that responsibility on their partners indefinitely. 

We talk emotions, what the response was when he shared, and if you wanted to chat it out with him how to connect.

Elephant in the Womb: Prenatal Education for the Preggers Person. Period.

EIW: 7/30/19 The #1 Must Have to get the Birth You Want,  w/ Camellia May, old school midwife who started practice in the '80s.

Camellia says the way to stack the odds for getting the birth you want is to get the magical CBE, otherwise known as Child Birth Education.  We also talk about the value of doulas, and how they can really facilitate a positive birth experience.

Also gave the 411 on the length of a typical first time birthing person, and shared about a FIFTH time mom who said Spinning Babies made such an impact on her birth.
