Stock Market Today: AI names are bouncing back this morning. After the close yesterday we got news that Akamai signed an $11.6 billion cloud deal with Anthropic making it your biggest gainer this morning with shares up 22.8%. The $SMH ETF is trading 1.2% higher in the premarket session, pointing to another positive day for AI hardware stocks.

The major indexes are in positive territory on Friday morning with SPY, QQQ, IWM, and the DIA all trading higher.

Costco $COST is trading lower after the company reported Q4 earnings, narrowly beating revenue estimates after the close on Thursday.

- Zscaler $ZS: Zscaler Names Ross Tackett as Chief Revenue Officer, Succeeding Mike Rich, stock fell 3.6% in after hours trading.

- Oracle $ORCL, Bloom Energy $BE, Blue Owl Capital $OWL: Oracle issued a "force majeure" notice to a Blue Owl unit, the developer of a large New Mexico ‌data center, citing potential delays in securing power for the project, stock dropped 3.4%.

- Unity Software $U: Partners with Meta to provide day-one support for Meta VR glasses, shares were volatile and finished 6% lower.

- PepsiCo $PEP: PepsiCo shares fell 1.5% as they announce they are to raise some prices after cuts failed to grow sales.

- GoDaddy $GDDY: GoDaddy receives takeover offer from maker of Norton Antivirus software, FT Reports, shares popped and finished 4.6% higher.

- Draftkings $DKNG: DraftKings shares popped before being faded as New York sues Polymarket over alleged illegal gambling operation.

- Everpure $P: Everpure shares rose 14.7% in the first hour of trading after prelim FY28 revenue outlook announced at their investor day on Wednesday, the stock finished the day up 11.1%.

- People $PPLI: 'MGM Resorts eyeing bid for Barry Diller’s People Inc.; Billionaire’s company, which has a stake in MGM' - WSJ Exclusive, shares pop 8.5%in premarket trading on Friday.

- Redwire $RDW, Rocket Lab $RKLB and Firefly Aerospace $FLY: These companies made the cut as one of 15 companies chosen for NITE-STAR, a Space Systems Command contract structure that allows multiple awardees and runs on an as-needed ordering basis, with a combined cap of $981 million across two separate five-year stretches, per a release the command put out July 31. All of these space companies finished the day up a few percent.

Stock Market Today: The market pulled back during trading on Wednesday ahead of the Trump-XI summit with formal meetings and a dinner scheduled to take place on Thursday.

$SPY finished the day down 0.72%, the $QQQ was down 0.84%, the $DIA was trading 0.71% lower, and the $IWM was the biggest loser of the main indexes, trading lower by 1.84%.

Losses in utilities (XLU), consumer discretionary (XLY), retail (XRT), and real estate (XLRE) stocks led the broader market’s fall, with the four sectors shedding more than 1% each.

Valero Energy (VLO) saw a sharp spike lower during intraday trading as Politico reported that the White House is preparing a plan for 90-day diesel exports ban. This rumorwas later denied by the White House, calling it 'fake news'.

In the evening Meta Platform (META) shares were volatile and trading lower as CEO Mark Zuckerberg gave his keynote presentation. He presented a range of new Meta Glasses that can integrate with Muse. He also showed off the new Meta VR Glasses. At the end of the presentation he unveiled a new AI keychain device powered by Muse called Meta Charm, with some people comparing it to a Tamagotchi.

Stock Market Today: The Nasdaq Composite posted another new all-time during intraday on Tuesday, while the S&P 500 was relatively unchanged ahead of U.S. President Trump and Chinese Leader Xi's summit in the U.S. on Wednesday.

Continuing the momentum in the AI-trade on Tuesday were the memory stocks including $WDC +3.67%, $STX +4.85%, $SNDK +6.82%, $SKHY +3.45%, $SIMO +5.3%, and $RMBS +8.54%.

Mag 7 stocks were mixed with Amazon ($AMZN), Google ($GOOG/$GOOGL), Meta Platforms ($META) and Microsoft ($MSFT) trading in the red, while Apple ($AAPL), Nvidia ($NVDA), and Tesla ($TSLA) closed in the green by less than 1% respectively.

Quantum stocks started rising in the after hours session as IonQ ($IONQ) announced a breakthrough that removes a major bottleneck in fault-tolerant quantum computing, enabling real-time error correction across millions of operations without slowing down execution time.

The news comes ahead of the Quantum World Congress 2026, Sept 23-25. Other quantum stocks that saw gains were $INFQ $QNTM $QUBT $QBTS $RGTI $QNT.

Good morning traders, the bulls were in full control yesterday as stocks powered through the wall of worry with the S&P rising 1.5%, the Nasdaq rising 2.2% and closing at a record high, and Bitcoin (BTC) pushing past the $86K level.

We saw multiple double digit percentage gains in many individual stocks including, Meta (META), Intel (INTC), and ARM (ARM). Joining the $1T club for the first time wad Adavanced Micro Devices (AMD) which gained over 9% during the session. We are seeing a slight pullback in many of these names in the premarket session. The gains seen yesterday come ahead of the Trump-Xi summit which is scheduled to begin tomorrow.

Major news in the AI hardware theme after hours as Amazon (AMZN) secured $8 billion in Generac (GNRC) backup power generators for its data centers. Nebius (NBIS) said it will raise on-demand NVIDIA (NVDA) GPU rates starting next month.

An "intense hardware rally" was kicked off overnight, according to Triple D. Neocloud, fuel cell, optical, semi wafer and chip-testing stocks led the move higher.

All eyes shift to Fed Chair Kevin Warsh on Wednesday as he prepares to oversee what could be the first interest-rate change of his tenure.

With the CME's FedWatch tool showing an above-92% chance of a 25-basis point rate hike, the path for interest rates seems a foregone conclusion this week. But what will Warsh say at the 2:30pm EDT press briefing? This will be the key to Wednesday's Fed news - not necessarily the interest rate decision itself. Will he show concern about inflation? Job growth? AI safety? Trump's gold fish, Blimpie?

So much build up and anticipation with this week's Fed announcement... what should traders focus on the rest of this week? The rest of this month, for that matter? We'll discuss where Mr. Market may look for a next all-important catalyst to narrow his eyes on.

The yield for the 10-year Treasury note rose over 5% for the first time since 2007 early Tuesday... we'll discuss why traders and investors should care - or not care - about this threshold.

Was Monday's concern about the AI trade and AI safety overdone? Was this public concern intentional or coordinated? Several tech execs seemed to suggest this was the case - one of them being NVDA's Jensen Huang.

Names like SNDK, NBIS and ORCL were hammered on Monday. Cybersecurity stocks like PANW, FTNT and CRWD led the software trade sharply higher. Mark Zuckerberg said we actually need to be speeding up AI development - and bulls rewarded META shares, the stock up 2%.

Elsewhere, CRM's Dreamforce event begins Tuesday and the CLARITY Act will face a Senate vote Tuesday afternoon. The Federal Reserve will likely raise interest rates 25 bps on Wednesday at 2pm. This week ends with a triple witch expiration on Friday.
