So after Everton and Nottingham Forest have been charged this season for breaching the Premier League's Profit and Sustainability rules, now it looks like these rules will be scrapped completely for the start of the 2024/25 Premier League season. But this will not alter the current charges Forest face and a point deduction is still expected in the next few days.

So the Premier League are looking to align their Financial regulations to those implemented by UEFA, with clubs being allowed to spend up to 85% of their revenue per year on transfers, wages and agent fees. This will allow clubs to spend more on transfer than the current regulations allow, but again the larger the club and the larger the club revenue, the more you will have to spend.

But with these rules set to be introduced at the start of next season, it seems like the Premier League are admitting that the current PSR rules are not fit for purpose, therefore clubs like Forest and Everton will be the only clubs to suffer from these unfair regulations.
