In this insightful teaching, Joseph Z enlightens us about the spirit of Elijah and how it fosters revival and societal reformation. He illustrates how believers today, under the new covenant, are empowered to carry on Elijah's reformatory legacy.
Joseph reveals that revival occurs when the church wakes up, whereas reformation happens when society is transformed by the Spirit of Elijah. He references Luke 1:17 to illustrate how the spirit of Elijah turns the hearts of the fathers to the children, and turns the disobedient to the wisdom of the just. He clarifies that everyone can operate in the spirit of Elijah and rise to meet God's purpose in their time. He asserts that we have everything we need in Christ Jesus to walk boldly and push back against the onslaught of darkness.

Next, Joseph highlights the achievements of Elijah and shows how the spirit of Elijah was also upon John the Baptist. He is considered the greatest of all prophets because of the significant responsibility he bore in preparing the way and announcing the coming of Jesus. He explains that we entered into a new covenant after the death of Jesus, and all those who are under this new covenant are greater than John the Baptist because they are renewed, born again, and spiritually connected to God the Father through Christ Jesus the Son.
Joseph further explains that, like John the Baptist, the spirit of Elijah prepares the way and makes way for his successors. He urges us to follow Elijah's footsteps, who trained and imparted knowledge to those who came after him. He stresses that the spirit of Elijah is generational, and when we align with the right people, it will reform society. He then assures us that God wants to impart to this generation and the next, making disciples who will carry on the dream when we're no longer here.
