God has put everything inside of you to walk in confidence on the path he has prepared.

I want you to take the next few minutes and listen to these encouraging scriptures about your path. You may hear a word, phrase, a thought may come to mind that will lead you in your next step.

Summer of Purpose - A Time of Growth and Refreshment

Each podcast will be less than 10 minutes. Enough time to take a deep breath and focus your heart, mind and spirit on the Lord during one of the busiest seasons.

Summer can be the perfect time to let down and enjoy family, friends and travel. And it can also be a disruptor. Lots of schedules and plans to keep up with. And sometimes just plain stressful depending on what you’re facing. One thing is for sure, there’s definitely a change of routine during the Summer.

I believe Summer is a wonderful season to intentionally enjoy God’s creation and when possible allow for interruptions…especially if they involve a sticky popsicle with the children in your life! It’s a great time to connect with God in a different way. So if you are able, get outside! Explore. Hike. Take a short walk. See sights. Jump in the pool. Enjoy whatever your routine is, but remember to take in the moment.

Soak in the sun and the S-O-N.

We have spent the last several weeks talking about inner healing --- the freedom it brings, what it is, how it works and some of the hang-ups that keep it from happening.  Today I want to talk about one more issue that can keep us from receiving inner healing from the Lord.  The issue is idols.  Is there an idol in your life that you need to lay down?

Soul Ties, Part 2 with Anne Andras 

Remember that there is no condemnation in having a soul tie with someone.  The Lord created us to be in relationship, first of all with Him, but also with others.  The issue isn’t being in a close relationship, the issue is the importance of having the Lord in the center of the relationship.  If He isn’t in the center, inevitably the relationship will have some negative implications.  In this week’s podcast, I share about how the Lord brought His correction to a close relationship I share with a beloved friend.  We want to walk in freedom in Christ and one of the ways we do this is by breaking soul ties and placing the Lord in the center of our relationships.

Soul Ties, Part 1

A soul tie can be godly or ungodly.  A godly soul tie is a relationship where Jesus is at the center. Marriage, sibling, parent/child, and friend relationships can all have godly soul ties.  

Soul ties can also be ungodly.  Although the relationship is close, the Lord is not in the center.  These relationships may look good from the outside, but inevitably ungodly soul ties do damage to one or both in the relationship and they block us on the journey to inner healing.

What can we do about inner vows?

We address inner vows the same way we address other areas of our lives that are out of line with the Lord, we repent. We break the vow.  It is a simple three-step prayer.
