To expand upon the two-part entry in my blog on UrbanLadyPrepper.com, "situational awareness" isn't just for stone-faced Hollywood actors, secret agents, or ninjas. It's for everyone, especially my SMSFs (Single Moms/Solo Females). This episode focuses on how we need to be more aware of what's happening around us and re-learn how to trust the intuition we've been conditioned to ignore. Doing this will help keep you safe - and may even save your life.
We SMSFs (Single Moms and single Females) must do our best to keep ourselves and any children or animals we may have safe from our biggest threat—people. This episode provides tips on keeping your home secure, even if you're renting or on a tight budget. Prepping starts at home, and you want to keep it a safe haven! Taken from two blogs on my Urban Lady Prepper site!
You don't have to be an Olympian or super-jacked, but you should have a baseline understanding of your physical limitations and capabilities to move, lift, or carry something (or someone) you care about. It doesn't have to be a Zombie Apocalypse for you to prep - maybe it's just life throwing you a curveball. And don't feel guilty about your stash - you're stockpiling, not hoarding, and yes, there is a difference! Based on the blog entries The Physicality of Prepping…Tales from a Chunky Dunk, When It’s NOT the Zombie Apocalypse…It’s Just Life, & Is It Stockpiling or Hoarding? all found here.
When asked if she would rather be in the woods alone with a man or a bear, a woman said the bear. So did just about every other woman asked, including me. Here's why I'm #teambear. Shout out to my SMSFs (Single Moms, Single Females) for not settling; being selective with the men they let into their lives!
Here are more tips on embracing the Prepper Mindset. It's not only about your physical preps; it's about shifting your perspective, which may require some mental and emotional rewiring. Straight talk, no BS, all love. Based on my blog entries More On The Mindset Tip…Straight Talk & Re-Thinking Priorities, which can be found here.
What's worse than listening to some dusty dude with a microphone talking trash about my single moms and single women? Settling for one of them. Never think having any man is better than being alone, especially when many really want a Maid Mommy. Don't date him, girl; you've got prepping to do! You need a man who will be an asset when navigating our uncertain future, not a liability!
Getting started in prepping is easier - and less expensive - than you think! I give a crash course in hopping on the preparedness train and how having the right mindset is as important as making space and having a plan.
Lady prepper in a big city helping single moms/solo women be emergency ready. The future is uncertain; let’s be prepared for it! And while my focus is on my Single Moms/Single Females (SMSFs), ALL ARE WELCOME HERE! On this, my very first episode, hear how and why I got started in prepping, and if I can do it, you can do it too! If you would like to read the blog entries this springs from, go here.
