Football is officially back as most area squads played their first scrimmage of the year. Thoughts on what we saw and heard across the area from 5A to six-man. Also, an update on Valley's Blake Beard who suffered a critical injury in action Friday night and a quick look at the Dallas Cowboys.

The volleyball season is in full gear and our area squads were competing across the state with West Plains picking up their first tournament championship in school history and Amarillo High, Hereford and Bushland starting out the season strong.

Kale Steed and Corrin Davis were at the Texas Tech media day talking with our local athletes and feeling the optimism under new head coach Joey McGuire. They also hit the two-a-day trail as high schools kicked off the 2022 season and Kale provides his thoughts and insights on the schools he visited. Plus, an interview with one of the all-time winningest players from the area in former Canadian and Lubbock Christian athlete Cameron Copley. Copley is now an assistant coach at West Plains and talks about the Wolfpack, his high school career, playing for his dad and lots more.

Press Pass intern Corrin Davis sits down with Kale Steed and Craig Sperry to discuss her love for sports, getting to visit with Erin Hartigan and other women broadcasters who have inspired her.

Kale and Corrin discuss the LSC Media Day in McKinney. The WTAMU Buffs were ranked 4th in the preseason rankings which the crew thinks may be low. They also discuss the changing conference landscape and how that impacts WT.
