West Texas High and Gruver are both one step away from the biggest stage in TXHSFB as they chase gold balls Thursday night. WT High will look to supply Hamilton with a large dose of Cayde Winters as they try for their first ever state finals appearance. Gruver faces Muenster for the second straight year looking to avenge a big loss. Can Gruver pull off the big upset? West Texas High and Gruver both won Friday night and will advance to the state semifinals. West Plains saw a strong second half from Stephenville too much to overcome while Idalou hit the Wall in dropping state quarters game. The state quarterfinals in TXHSFB has five area teams lookingn to move on. West Plains are heavy underdogs to Stephenville just as they were a year ago. Idalou gets a second chance at Wall. WT High will look to run by Cisco and Gruver/Stratford meet for the second time this year in Canyon.
