Here we go with the first mix of 2024.  Half of the tunes have been sitting in my Traxsource basket since January, some since December!  I'll be honest I wasn't feeling the urge to put a new mix out.  The music wasn't inspiring enough.  The radio shows were more nostalgic and I got back into rediscovering my older music and mixes.  I did actually do this mix two weeks earlier on the previous show but my mixer was playing up and causing the tracks to skip which made mixing almost impossible.  The flow wasn't quite right though, a couple of big juicy tracks made an appearance waaay too early.  That was the only change made for this mix.We start off with a tribal feel for the first three tracks before hitting the soulful stuff.  The main body of the mix has that tried and tested rolling, bumpy warm feel that has you involuntarily tapping those toes and nodding your noggin.  There are three great remakes of old classics that I'm sure everyone knows.  I don't normally go in for remakes as they often fall short of the original but these have been done really well.  The chunky part of the mix peaks with Deetron's excellent 'Runnin' with its big piano keys.  We have a longer than usual come down ending with Riva Starr's 'How It Feels'.Lucky enough to be warming up for Lenny Fontana next weekend at the Ivy Pool Club.  This summer has been amazing for the quality of DJs passing through.  Can't wait to see who I get to play alongside in the remaining months before things quieten down over winter.Tracklisting:1: Danilo Braca, Ron Trent - Sïana (Woza Woza) (Ron Trent Remix - Timmy Regisford Edit)2: K-O-D, Afro Wav - Chants From The Motherland (Timmy Regisford Edit)3: Coke Segwapa, HyperSOUL-X - Phumelela (Timmy Regisford Edit)4: Ezel, Rona Ray - Take Me Home (Original Mix)5: Yvvan Back, Martina Budde - Hello Traveler (Extended Mix)6: DJ Steaw - In My Body-s House (Original Mix)7: Crackazat - Tiger-s Eyes8: 2Sleep - Soulful House Music (Original Mix)9: Mij Mack - Vibes All Night10: Matt Gillespie - Shake It (Original Mix)11: Milton Jackson - Peace Of Mind (Extended Mix)12: Crackazat, Dam Swindle - Demucha (Dam Swindle Remix)13: MF Productions - To The Beat (Original Mix)14: DJ Romain - Gettin It- (Vocal Mix)15: Antoine Clamaran, Lulu Hughes - Feel It (Jay Vegas Classic House Extended Mix)16: Opolopo - Stroke My Disco (Fouk Remix)17: Michele Chiavarini, The Jazzcodes - Jazz Was Dancing (Saison Extended Remix)18: HP Vince - I Am Everyday People (2024 Jackin- Mix)19: Evan (UK) - My House (Original Mix)20: Stratford Toney - I Miss You (Original Mix)21: Deetron - Runnin22: Groove P - Are They Real (Extended Mix)23: Corrado Alunni - Turn The Boogie (Radio Edit)24: Riva Starr - How It Feels (Extended Mix)Enjoy!
