This week the haunted road trip takes us on a journey throughout Arkansas and Louisiana where we are visiting the spookiest and paranormal locations across state lines. Episode 39 uncovers the haunted history of the self-proclaimed “most haunted” hotel in America… the Crescent Hotel. The hotel is located near the alleged healing waters in Eureka Springs. Next up, we’re visiting one of the most haunted cities in the entire country… New Orleans aka the Crescent City. Louisiana has an endless amount of ghost stories, vampires, Voodoo and a tragic history as one of the oldest states in the country. The Vault will definitely be back to visit New Orleans again!

Another week, another double stop on The Vault’s Haunted Roadtrip across America. This week we’re visiting the most haunted & paranormal locations in Missouri & Illinois… and it’s sending us behind bars to some of the country’s most infamous prisons. The first hot spot is the Old Joliet Prison in Joliet, IL with a reputation for having a distinct “scent of blood” around the premises to this day. Then we head over to the Missouri State Penitentiary, which was referred to by Time Magazine as “the most bloody 47 acres in America”. And we wrap things up with a visit to the location that inspired one of the most famous horror books and movies of all time… a seemingly normal colonial home in St. Louis, MI but is allegedly the real life location for the events from The Exorcist.

The Haunted Roadtrip continues with a visit to North Dakota, and while everyone seems to agree that this state is super haunted there’s not a lot of proof confirming the paranormal activity. Join as we journey through six different alleged hot spots for spirits, cryptids and other unexplainable phenomena. We have yet to visit a state with this much rumored activity that we haven’t been able to back up with visual or audio evidence. So what do you think? This week we’re heading to the most haunted town in the entire state of South Dakota… Deadwood. It’s so famous they even made a hit HBO show about it. Episode 35 allows us to travel back to the gold rush era, and what I’m now believing is the most haunted era in American history. The community of Deadwood is not only a National Landmark, it is also rumored to be filled with haunted locations at every turn. The two stops we’re visiting this week survived all of the natural and economic disasters that have fallen upon the town and stories to tell those who visit them: the Bullock Hotel & the Fairmont Hotel. Only one of these hotels is open to guests to this present day but this doesn’t stop the spirits from showing up and claiming it as their own.

This week I’m back with another double feature on our Haunted Roadtrip across America but it feels more like a history lesson or a lesson in why humans are terrifying than it feels like a haunted history episode. Episode 34 takes us through Nebraska and Iowa where I share the grisly tale of not one, not two, but three true(ish) crimes that have now become paranormal legends. 

We start off in the seemingly charming town of Valentine, Nebraska and make our way through Portal to Hearbeat Bridge and Hatchet House only to find ourselves at one of the worst locations I think I’ve ever covered… Annie Cook’s Poor Farm. 

Finally we’ll travel to one of the most famous homes in America… the Villisca Ax Murder House. The events that occurred here took the Titanic off of the front page news across the country. An episode of The Vault has never felt so much like a true crime podcast before.

This week our Haunted Roadtrip across the US is taking us through the most haunted towns in New Mexico and Texas. While I can’t be sure what makes a town the official most haunted place in the state, I can confirm that these towns deserve their titles.

First up is Clayton, New Mexico which was voted by the state department of tourism as the most haunted city in the state in 2018.  

Our final stop will be Jefferson, Texas which is known as the most haunted town in the entire state. I will share the haunted histories of The Grove, The Jefferson Hotel, The Kahn Hotel and the Excelsior House.
