Party Favorz has landed a new T-Dance Edition just in time for spring. This set offers a whole lot Sunday afternoon power tracks to compliment your cocktails.

Lately, Dirty Disco has been on a tear with one solid remix after another and the Spring T-Dance Edition 2022 is chock-full of them. I had more Disco Gurls, Block & Crown, and Ghostmasters but most of those tracks have been moved to either the next Disco House set or Thank God It's Disco series.

This set begins with a low simmer but quickly sizzles to a low boil before finally cooling down with two notable entries to close it out. We have the excellent Eric Kupper remix of Reba McEntire's 'Does He Love You' and a new Diana Ross track 'I Still Believe' with Purple Disco Machine at the helm. Reba sounds stronger than ever on this 2009 classic and while still excellent — Diana's voice is beginning to show strain. Both ladies are DIVAS in their own right and the fact that they're still making great music is a testament to their iconic status within their industries.

I had started working on the next Disco House installment but to be honest, the music just isn't there...yet. It's generally the easiest series to whip up but too many of the biggest songs just fell flat (IMHO). So, I've pushed that back to its original scheduled release for two weeks from now and will begin compiling the set list for the Spring Edition 2022 to be released (fingers crossed) next week.

Party Favorz is back with the latest in Peak Hour mayhem and this one is a scorcher! I'd love to sit here and tell y'all all about it but I've been dicking around with our internet since 4AM because of a new wireless router installation. It works perfectly fine but when I disconnected the wi-fi on the AT&T gateway (because it's outdated and not secure) — it disconnected the ethernet connection on my workstation [sigh].

That being said, 'Give the People What They Want' is exactly what this latest Peak Hour set does, and in spades.

In addition to the issue above, Podbean is now throttling my uploads for a single episode. It feels like I'm on dial-up. This relationship is becoming untenable but I have no other choice but to let it play out through the end of the year. I have no idea what their issue is because I don't abuse their service, which coincidentally is unlimited uploads with my plan (though it's grandfathered as their prices have gone up). Party Favorz is back with the essential Spring Break dance mix for 2022! This latest set features all the biggest Dance Club hits of the spring — many of which will spill over into Summer.

Without of doubt, Joel Corry is on a roll and there's no sign he's stopping anytime soon. He appears to have stepped away from his mainstream sugarcoated dance floor earcandy into a deeper Future House groove that's come off leftfield. With 'Liquor Store'  still running high on every DJ list, he drops the Trance classic remake of Da Hool's 'Meet Her At The Love Parade' with his version simply titled 'Parade.' For those of you who took the time to indulge in the Ultimate Trance Classics series we just dropped — this is one of the earliest Trance hits from the 90s that shook the club scene to its foundation.

Speaking of Trance classics, the essential Spring Break set also includes Keanu Silva, Toby Romeo & Sacha's 'Hopeless Heart' which is an ode to the Robert Miles Trance classic 'Children' — a song most generations are intimately familiar with. We also have a 2022 re-work of the massive Trance classic 'Cafe Del Mar' by Paul Reid. I don't know if it was perfect timing or the universe calling back these classics to our collective conscious at the same time we put out the Ultimate Trance Classics Series but it does feel coincidental.

One of our favorites from 2021, Kah-Lo is back with 'Drag Me Out' and 'The Sweetest Pie' by Megan Thee Stallion & Dua Lipa is already making a huge impact on radio and in the clubs. Remixes are only now coming out so be sure not to miss the Dirty Disco remix coming up on our next installment of the T-Dance series. Swedish House Mafia who's had a remarkable comeback to the club scene have teamed up with Sting for a total reimagining of the Police classic 'Roxanne' with 'Red Light' a song that's already on every DJ's top 10 list.

Other notable new tracks gaining momentum are 'Good Luck' by Mabel, Jax Jones & Galantis, 'What Would You Do' by Joel Corry & David Guetta with Bryson Tiller, 'In Your Arms' by Topic, Robin Schulz, Nico Santos & Paul van Dyk (yes, that PVD another Trance reference), Purple Disco Machine and Sophie & the Giant continue their winning collaboration on 'In the Dark' with Oliver Helden doing the remix honors, Ferry Corsten's (yes that FC another Trance throwback) wonderful 'Wounded,' and the KD5 (Kaskade & Deadmaus5) team up for the Progressive House pleasure 'Escape,' while both R3HAB (with Saucy Santana) and Anna Lunoe take a 'dip' into the Freak Nasty classic with their reworks. Who wins that battle is anyone's guess because they're equally good.

Finally, Kungs makes a return with the novelty track 'Clap Your Hands' featuring a children's choir which is making modest inroads in the clubs. Here, Party Favorz delivers an exclusive mashup with David Guetta, which punches up the song making you forget these kids are informing you to remember your A, B, C's.

Party Favorz is dropping the fourth and final volume of the Ultimate Trance Classics series — a tribute set that's been in the works for over a year since the original release in 2010.

Other than the fact that these sets are mixed much better than the original — they expand the original's reach delivering a memory trip for those club kids who were at all the raves dancing their assess off until the break of dawn.

One caveat is the closing 'Sunchyme' by Dario G — a song that holds a very special place in many a heart. I opted not to go with the original (which worked) but found the official remixes that accompanied this release lacking. Club 69 (a.k.a. Peter Rauhofer) tried to remake the wheel for this song and it fell flat. The same can be said for Sasha who also contributed an official remix.

The familiar choir hook lifted from 'Life In a Northern Town' by Dream Academy (1986) set across an uplifting instrumental with piano wasn't something you wanted to stray too far from. Enter the Mastermix 'Diffusion Remix' from 2006. This version was included because not only did it stay true to the original, it's the only other remix this song should have received. By bumping up the BPM and adding a deep bassline to the original version, this remix (which borders on Eurodance) would have been the definitive dance floor version had it been released at the time, thus its inclusion. I don't think anyone will be disappointed because it just makes sense.

I hope all our little Trance-loving kids enjoyed these sets as much as I've enjoyed bringing them back to life. I was pleasantly surprised at how well this all came together after struggling to create the original series in 2010.

Party Favorz is back with volume 2 of the Ultimate Trance Classics series and boy oh boy is this a HOT one!

This set is packed from start to finish with some of the biggest Trance tracks from the 90s and early millennium. One notable exception is the uncredited trance remix of 'Thank You' by Dido. Anyone attuned to the radio or who was a club kid during the early 00s remembers the massive success of this woman who happens to be an inductee into our Diva Hall of Fame. She's also the sister of Faithless member Rollo who is prominently featured in this tribute series.

She had already been riding high off of 'Here With Me' and after Eminem sampled 'Thank You' on his massive single 'Stan,' she exploded on MTV and radio taking the song to #1.

The trance version was taken from an unofficial Russian EP that had official remixes from her album 'No Angel' but never had an official release. It's not clear if this is an original remix or a mashup but it's so good that it's worthy of inclusion because it's timely and fits right in with everything else. Keep in mind that Johnny Vicious had created a full-blown trance remix of 'Here With Me' that was already huge in the clubs so including this song just made sense.

Otherwise, this set has got so many massive trance tracks included — it reads like a who's who of the DJs and artists who fueled the genre.

I have to admit that I dreaded re-doing this series and expanding on it because these songs are not the easiest in the world to mix. Most have no intro nor outro and clock in at a neck-snapping average of 138 bpm. Needless to say, I've been pleasantly surprised at how well this is all falling together — certainly better than my first effort in 2010. Frankly, I've exceeded my expectations.

Volumes 3 and 4 will be dropping next week, which will finish out this series before we jump into Spring Break madness. Until then...ENJOY!

Trance is a genre of electronic dance music that emerged from the British new-age music scene and the early 1990s German techno and hardcore scenes.

Trance music is characterized by a tempo generally lying between 120–150 bpm (BPM), repeating melodic phrases, and a musical form that distinctly builds tension and elements throughout a track often culminating in 1 to 2 "peaks" or "drops". Although trance is a genre of its own, it liberally incorporates influences from other musical styles such as techno, house, pop, chill-out, classical music, tech house, ambient and progressive house.

Now that we got that out of the way, Party Favorz is finally dropping the Ultimate Trance Classics that we've been teasing out for over a year now. We covered 90's House Classics, 90's Eurodance, and now a long overdue and updated Trance Classics. Because the genre grew out of the techno scene in the early 90s and was fueled by pop-up raves in the UK, which quickly spread to the U.S. — it gets a classification all its own.

Like most popular dance music genres, Trance eventually became mainstreamed by corporate music because why waste a good thing that can be aped, recycled, polished, and pushed to the masses in a more palatable form?

Other than the genres listed in the Wikipedia description that were incorporated into Trance — the ground-breaking Progressive House scene was the most influential to Trance, which brought us Faithless, Perfecto and yes, even Club 69 who after riding the house train for years, abruptly transitioned into some hard-hitting tribal, electronic sounds the likes of which no one had heard before.

It wasn't uncommon for DJs to incorporate some of these influences into their sets to offset some of the monotony of straight-up euphoric Trance. The first set showcases that intermixing, while the second set is straight up Trance. The third and fourth sets should lean more toward Trance with some progressive tracks that fit nicely but didn't quite fit into the 90's House Classics series that was recently completed.

One other thing about this series is the 90s and 00s were mixed in together reflecting Trance at its peak. Unlike the original series that was released in 2010, these newer sets not only deliver the big hits that everyone knows but the ground-breaking tracks that fueled the genre from the ground up. There's a lot of territory to cover so the biggest artists were limited to 2 - 3 songs from their back catalog.

I just finished overcoming what seemed like insurmountable obstacles in building my new workstation, I finally got it finished and managed to squeeze this set out in record time. I spent Friday pouring through new releases in Beatport, and bootlegs on SoundCloud and Bandcamp, which may not sound like a lot of work but I assure you it is. It takes a better part of the day. From there, I tagged all the files and combed through them to see what was worth it and what was not.

Saturday, I sat down and mixed it all up in one sitting then started the outline of the artwork for this release.

I got up early this morning and finished the artwork and now I'm delivering our first Circuit & Anthems release of 2022!

Overall, this set is much better than I anticipated. It's downright fantastic! Y'all should know that I don't shy away from patting myself on the back for a job well done. Other than the amount of work and money (this set costs upwards of $80 to put together) and time, what makes it work are the solid remixes and releases from a plethora of global artists and DJs who make up this set. Without the quality of their work, this would just be okay at best.

Now that Party Favorz is up to speed, I've started working on the Trance Classics I've been teasing since last year. That will complete our trip through the 90s (even though there is a spillover into the early millennium). From there, I'm excited to announce an Electro House Classics series from the first 10 years of the Millenium before launching into the House Classics of the early millennium. All of these are massive endeavors but all are contained in my bucket list that I've bound myself to in our final year.

Party Favorz hasn't dropped a Peak Hour set since October so there was a lot of ground to cover since then. I started from December and skipped November altogether because I knew there were a lot of releases (most not worthy as late-year releases are seldom stellar) — certainly more songs than the usual 3 - 4 hour set.

I've also been getting into a lot of Breakbeat and Garage House lately but just couldn't make those tracks work in this mix so I had to throw them all out. After creating the first draft of the set on Monday, I waded through the mix to see what worked and what didn't. Then, I waited for new tracks to drop on Friday to ensure this set was timely. While this episode predominantly relies on Tech House and House Music, I managed to throw in a couple of Indie tracks I'm digging that are floating under the radar in the larger DJ community. It's those kinds of discoveries that set Party Favorz apart from everyone else. We provide a literal reading of "digging in the crates."

In fact, curation accounts for half the amount of time that goes into making these sets. It's not just throwing in tracks that all the other DJs are spinning (even though there is a certain element to that) but discovering great songs that no one else is playing making these sets unique and one-of-a-kind.

After all, was said and done, I kept this set tight and just under 3 hours, which nowadays is a record for me. 'Bring the Noise' is all about the flow with lots of overlays to transition from one song to the next without ever knowing what hit you.
