Party Favorz is wrapping up November with our annual X-mas Dance series and we've gone overboard to bring newer holiday sounds remixed for the dance floor along with fan favorites from over the years.

There were so many new remixes available — there was enough to make an EDM/Dance Club version but honestly, I'm petered out. That will be saved for the 2022 release.

This set leans heavily on the Circuit side because Dario Xavier released five holiday remixes coupled with one from last year I forgot I had. Jet Boot Jack released a remix for Diana Ross' version of 'This Christmas' (originally made famous by Donny Hathaway) and Joel Dickinson (a.k.a. Thee Werq'n Bitches and formerly one-half of The Assembly with Billy Waters) remixed The Carpenters' 'Merry Christmas Darling,' which I've had for several years but never used because it was kinda dark but figured 'what the hell.'

Of course, Houston's Dirty Disco dropped their annual holiday mix and this year's entry features Kiva on the Mariah Carey classic 'All I Want For Christmas."

The rest of the set was rounded out by favorites from over the years including alternate versions of many of those tracks rarely or never used in a set before.

Overall this is a solid effort that's bound to put a smile on the face of the most hardened Grinch.

The past 30 days have been pretty rough for me and it feels like I'm being pulled in multiple directions. Couple that with the typical holiday blues and I just need a little space for a bit. Don't even get me started over the exploding cases of Covid or the new variant discovered in Africa, which will be in your neighborhood before you finish listening to this latest set of holiday cheer. No, the irony isn't dead on me [grin].

I've cut back my ambitions for December so here's what to expect: First up will be the annual Jingle Electric featuring the latest Dance Club tracks, Holiday Edition 2021 featuring the latest Circuit and Anthems tracks, and then our Year In Dance featuring the biggest Dance songs of 2021. Finally, we'll cap the year off with the annual Blow Your Own Horn 2022, which is the ultimate New Year's dance party mix that raises the roof and burns down the year that was before bringing us into a new one.

As you can see, there's still a lot more to go. Until the next time...ENJOY!

Party Favorz is back with the third installment of the Ultimate Tony Moran Legacy series. As we get deeper into these sets, Moran's brilliance as remixer/producer begins to shine even brighter. Whether the remixes were for his collaborations for his own "Event" compilations or other artists, Moran has racked up a record  #1 songs (some on the Dance Club charts and others on various other charts including the Hot 100).

As he became known for his live performances, the name Tony Moran became synonymous with marquee shows that have packed audiences across the globe, while paving the way for others like Calvin Harris, David Guetta, Skrillex, and Avicii who transferred their skills from the recording booth to live stadiums.

It's been a busy week here in the Party Favorz household with one drama after the other leading up to a suicidal Betta affectionately known as Karl who jumped 5 feet out of his tank while I was preparing to change his water. He later passed after he couldn't handle the stress. It's a wonder I got as much done as I did.

Shortly after this post, there will be a 4th and final volume of this Legacy set, which will be followed up tomorrow with another by a different artist, and then the final volume of the Thank God It's Disco series next week. If anyone is keeping track, it's also about time for the annual X-mas Dance series to drop, which you can look for on Black Friday. Expect something different this year.

That's all I got for today but expect the 4th volume of this series to drop in short order today. Until the next time...ENJOY!

It's a gorgeous fall day in the ATL and Party Favorz is dropping volume 5 of our next installment in the Thank God It's Disco series where classic Disco tracks from the 70s and dance tracks from the 80s get a modern-day makeover. Most songs don't stray too far from the originals while others only use the verses with the familiar beat and in one instance two classic Disco tracks get mashed-up up into one.

Take note that the Gloria Gaynor 'Never Can Say Goodbye" remix by Jet Boot Jack is Gloria but he used a re-sung version by Miss Gaynor as opposed to the original so the vocals may sound a bit different but still glorious. That was not the case for "I Will Survive," which frankly has had a multitude of great remixes and the Anthony Fennel remix stays true to the original while giving it a modern House makeover.

The same can be said about 'Let's All Chant' by the Michael Zager Band where Block & Crown used all the stems from the original but dropped the uh-ah, uh ah that made this song fun to begin with. Still, all the elements are there and it shouldn't take away from your enjoyment.

Next week will be a diversionary week as we take on a Legacy set and update it because this guy has exploded since the original release, which has consistently remained in our top two searches for Party Favorz. The other is a diva who needs no introduction and frankly not even a new induction because after listening to the original release — it's just as smoking now as it was 10 years ago. Nevertheless, some modern remixes have come out since and I haven't quite decided how I'm going to handle it yet but it's bound to please a lot of fans out there.

Until the next time...ENJOY!

As we move into the millennium, Tony Moran's light continued to get even brighter. He remixed some of the most iconic songs and DIVAS of the 21st century that his discography reads like a who's who list in the Party Favorz Diva Hall of Fame. No need to drop names because they're all here.

Instead of breaking up his work for the past two decades, I went ahead and combined them giving fans a taste of old and new all rolled into the last 22 years of his career — a career that's still going strong today.

I need to comb through the next installment of Thank God It's Disco but otherwise, that set is already in the can and should drop Saturday. Next week, I plan on shaking the release schedule up with some releases that are a bit unexpected before dropping the final two installments of these back-to-back series the week after. I've been slammed at home with a ton of projects and will be spending the day in Atlanta just as a major storm is coming into town (oh joy). Regardless, I managed to stay on top of everything so for now it's full steam ahead.

Until the next time...ENJOY!

I want to thank Joe S. and Ludovic D. for their generous donations and apologize to Joe for not giving a shoutout sooner.

27. Tony Moran vs.

It's been a while since we put out a 'Thank God It's Disco' series. We've been collecting tracks as they slowly appear through various channels in hopes of creating this fourth volume. There were so many that there's going to be a 5th and 6th volume as well.

Some tracks are duplicates from the previous three volumes but are re-created by different DJs giving them a whole new feel. Dr Packer has an outsized role to play in these three volumes and someone who's always been a go-to because he owns this space. He's followed by Block & Crown (who are on fire at the moment), DJ Meme (a personal favorite), and DJ Barry Harris who appears to be MIA lately (hope he's doing well).

While there's plenty of D-I-S-C-O in this volume, Funk music plays a starring role as well. We've also started adding some late 80s dance hits just for fun.

We'll be alternating these with the Tony Moran Legacy series introduced yesterday throughout November but also have a few surprises (if we can pull them off in time) making an appearance later in the month. As we said, it's going to be a busy, busy month for releases. Until the next time...ENJOY!
