In them, a young Catholic staffer named Evan Myers noted that some Jews are asking Heritage to host Shabbat dinners and invite staff. Myers said that for him, attending a Shabbat dinner would be a violation of his religious conscience. He said he assumes that attendance won’t be required, but he fears that they will be used as “an informal litmus test” to weed out anti-Semites.

John Daniel Davidson on X: Many Catholics keep the traditional practice of fasting or abstinence on Fridays as a penitential practice in remembrance of Christ’s Passion on Good Friday. So yeah, there is something in Catholic teaching that might preclude some Catholics from attending a Shabbat dinner, besides conscience considerations. But you’d have to be at least a little familiar with Catholic teaching and tradition to know that.

Myers raises is a symbol of one way of handling them — and a bad one It stands to breed resentment in Christians who, for whatever reason, feel that they can’t participate in good conscience, but who are afraid they will get tarred with the “anti-Semite” smear if they don’t.

We only punish the guilty, we don’t commit genocide against your whole tribe. We punish you because of what you did. We treat each person as an individual. That is Western civilization. That’s a Christian understanding. It is not derived from any other religion. Christianity alone makes that claim.

How many times have we discussed this here on this station? Not just the Mike Church Show.

I have said for 13 years now, the response should always be kept in mind, I am a Christian, it is not permissible for me to be a racist. You can see this in your regular daily life.

I honestly think Tucker is so close to converting. The Catholicism is there.

He is funny and every middle aged man wants to be thought of as funny and the core desire of every married man is to have his wife laugh at his jokes. I feel like he is a victim of that. The unrecognized syndrome. I think sealing the borders is a massive achievement. Just saying out loud that crime and disorder are the basic enemies of civilization, just to have him say that is hugely reassuring and important. Tariffs are an open question for me. The foreign policy stuff you just kinda get swarmed. Don’t just do something, just sit there, don’t take action.
