The staying prowess of the three-year old’s is on display today at Ascot with the running of the City of Belmont – W.A. Oaks (2400m) and the Schweppes – Melvista Stakes (2200m). In the Oaks, Constant Dreaming has the best form when assessing the fillies. She has won the Ascot 1000 Guineas and the Natasha Stakes at her past two starts and is a red-hot favourite to make it three on the trot. Outside of the favourite, the race appears wide open. The colts and geldings staying test looks a bit more open however Alaskan God has tongues wagging. He has won three starts back from a spell and just keeps on improving. Trix of the Trade, Rokanori, Henchard and Pale Rider cannot be dismissed. The support card does have some interesting races. It is a quality card of racing. Join Darren McAullay, Scott Embry, and Digby Beacham as they find the winners when Inside Running hits the airwaves just after 8 o’clock on Saturday morning.
