'The only thing that makes you want to quit is you and what you tell yourself' In this episode we talk with the adventurer and motivational speaker, Katrina Megget.
Katrina sailed around the UK in a 28ft yacht, (her partner has written an ebook on the trip titled A voyage around Britain in a small yacht - see www.katrinamegget.com for details).
Katrina is an adventurer who in addition to the sailing, has trekked the length of New Zealand, a distance of 3000km, and has also embarked on the 40 volcanoes by 40 challenge.
This was a thoroughly enjoyable chat, and was incredibly inspiring - we hope you enjoy

Wow! It was our absolute honour to have a conversation with Sam Smith on this episode of Previously Learnt. Sam is a former pro rugby union player with Harlequins, winning the Premiership, Amlin and LV Cups. He also represented England at U20 level. Following on from his successful rugby career being cut short due to injury, he founded Waylands Yard Coffee (www.waylandsyard.com) and Odd Kin Roasters (www.oddkincoffee.com). Sam also provides 1-1 coaching for pro athletes in life after sport.
We had an incredibly honest and thought provoking conversation with Sam, and at times we were genuinely lost for words. Enjoy!

On this episode of Previously Learnt, we had the privilege of former World Champion boxer, Ryan Barrett. Ryan turned pro in 2002, was English Super Featherweight champion in 2008, and WBU Welterweight Champion in 2013. His successful career was unfortunately cut short on medical grounds in 2014 before moving into a distinguished coaching career.
From boxer to successful international coach, this was an incredibly honest and insightful conversation, which we hope you enjoy.
Ryan's gym, Gumshield is based in South East London, www.gumshieldgym.co.uk
