Ro: Într-o frumoasă dimineață de primăvară, adierea vântului purta mirosul florilor pe străzile pietruite ale unui mic sat din Munții Carpați.
En: On a beautiful spring morning, the breeze carried the scent of flowers along the cobbled streets of a small village in the Carpathian Mountains.

Ro: Andrei, un profesor modest cu suflet mare, porni către piața locală.
En: Andrei, a modest teacher with a big heart, set off towards the local market.

Ro: Cu toate că ziua promitea a fi una plăcută, o grijă îi apăsa inima.
En: Although the day promised to be a pleasant one, a worry weighed on his heart.

En: Andrei stopped at various stalls.

Ro: "Tortul acesta este la jumătate de preț.
En: "This cake is half-priced."

Ro: " Inima lui Andrei tresări de bucurie.
En: Andrei's heart leaped with joy.

Ro: Ar putea să își îndeplinească dorința și să aibă grijă și de familie.
En: He could fulfill his wish and also take care of his family.

Ro: Puțin mai târziu, Andrei părăsea piața, având tortul în brațe și un zâmbet mulțumit pe față.
En: A little later, Andrei was leaving the market with the cake in his arms and a satisfied smile on his face.

En: When he got home, Sorin was the most surprised.
