In this Bonus episode Emma interviews Infection prevention and control (IPC) clinical nurse specialist Alex Cundy who is part of the CCGs newly developed IPC team dedicated to primary/social care.

We talk about what IPC is and why it is important and what the  expectation of primary care regarding IPC is.  We discuss the role of the IPC team in supporting primary/social care and some important issues relating to IPC. Emma discusses some of the work Kath is involved in through greener practice and the sustainability group, and how healthcare is a significant contributor to the global carbon footprint. The episode explores how sustainable healthcare can not only contribute to  patients' wellbeing, but can also have a positive impact on the climate and the planet's health. In episode three of Primary Care Spotlight, Emma talks to Tina Mitchell, Education Programme Manager, about the upcoming 2022 Training Hub Prospectus.

The Prospectus is a document containing  everything we provide within the education programme at the Cornwall Primary Care Training Hub. It provides a good overview of the training we directly provide and also training we signpost Primary Care colleagues to. It includes both clinical and non clinical training, how training is delivered, how it is  funded, how to book training and what training is coming soon.
