In this episode Jason Hanson shares tips, tricks and stories from his career as a CIA Agent and now private sector consultant. There is no question about how difficult pregnancy, labor and delivery can be for the mother but it can also be quite difficult for the father. In this episode I discuss what I have felt and done while awaiting for the arrival of our new daughter.

The father's role is to care for the pregnant woman, provide, prepare the home, and be informed about all that needs to be done in order to bring the baby into a stable home.

This episode is going to be a little different than previous ones because my wife is having a baby tonight! She is going to be induced just after midnight and I want to talk you through my nerves and how I have been preparing myself and family for this life changing event.

Lief Condie is a fantastic example of humble strength and knowledge. He has been a great leader in all areas of his life with titles like "Engineer Of The Year" for the state of Utah, Eagle Scout then Silver Beaver in Boy Scouts of America, Bishop, High Council Member and Father. He is quiet but firm, he is calculated but not slow to act. When he decides to add his opinion to the discussion people listen and learn from him. His leadership is powerful without force or ego.

I love hearing my friends and family who are first responders talk about their jobs. It's noble and difficult work with so much urgency. My guest today is Cedar City Chief of Police, Darin Adams. He started his career as an EMT soon after high school and has worked through many different disciplines of the first responder world.

At some point in your life you may find yourself saying something like: we just don't love each other like we used too. Or "I don't understand why I don't love them like I should. What you should do in this case is very different than what many people actually do. I want to share what I've found you should do to avoid the heart ache that comes with what your tempted to do when you find yourself saying things like that. I've heard a few people say things lately like: we just don't love each other like we used to and I don't get why I don't love him like I should. These statements remind me of a story Stephen R Covey told in on of his books. Stephen R Covey is one of the most interesting and prolific authors of this century. He published books almost yearly for 2 decades. What were the subjects of so much writing? Leadership, business, self discipline and so on. Listen and watch as I break down what dads should be doing to make sure the love is still there.
