The Celtics come away with a big 122-104 win over the Sacramento Kings. The Celtics came out firing in this one with a great first quarter that ended with them having a 36-22 lead. In that first quarter, the Celtics were moving the ball well assisting on 10 of their 13 fgm and shooting 5-10 from 3 as well as defending at a high level. In the second quarter, everything changed. The energy seemed to be sucked right out of the room and the Kings outscored the Celtics 40-28 bring that once 14pt lead all the way down to 2 by halftime. Well the Kings weren't done there. They continued fighting and found themselves up 6 in that third quarter.

This is where Joe Mazzula finally turns to the bench and gives Mr. Energy Payton Pritchard along with bench mate Luke Kornet some time. As soon as those two subbed in, the Celtics went on a 35-4 run and everything that could've went right, went right. With Marcus Smart and Jaylen Brown in foul trouble with 4 apiece, the Celtics needed guys to step up and that is exactly what Pritchard and Kornet did. We still saw good games from the Jays, 30pts 8reb 4ast for Tatum and 25pts 5reb 4ast for JB, but it was the play of Pritchard and Kornet that really shifted this game and put the Celtics in the drivers seat. The Celtics are now 15-4 on the season and have a 1.5 game lead over the 2nd place Bucks in the Eastern Conference!
