David Feldman Founder of 3 Owl a Brand, Web, and Content Agency on Georgia Podcast

David Feldman is the founder and creative director of 3 Owl, a brand, web, and content agency that creates nimble identities, elegant technologies, and beautiful tools that equip clients for success. An accomplished guitarist and music-lover with an entrepreneurial mindset, he graduated from Emory University’s Goizueta Business School with a unique dual degree in business and music.

He has since dedicated himself to supporting and growing Atlanta’s booming creative community. “Atlanta has an exceptionally collaborative and imaginative culture,” he says. “I love this community, and I love how Atlantans come together as partners in our city’s unfinished creation.”

From 2008-2012, David was the business development and marketing director of Alliance Biomedical Research (now VitaLink), a clinical research firm founded by his father, Gregory J. Feldman, M.D. He rebranded ABR and helped grow the company into one of the world’s largest privately owned networks of clinical research sites.

David founded 3 Owl in 2015 with a team that includes some of Atlanta’s brightest creative professionals. The award-winning agency has helped build the brands and digital experiences of major Atlanta-based organizations including Mellow Mushroom, Mizuno USA, Emory University, and Center Stage Atlanta. Now a team of eight, the agency has already won many prestigious awards for brand identity, graphic design, and website design.

3 Owl is also the branding and design partner for ATL Collective, a nonprofit David co-founded to enrich Atlanta’s music community. The organization brings musicians together to perform live covers of classic albums at venues all over Atlanta. He is now the vice president of the organization’s board.

David is a frequent guest lecturer at Emory’s Goizueta Business School, The New School (Atlanta) of which he was a founding faculty member and General Assembly. He lives with his wife Alisa and their two labradoodles in a Cabbagetown loft.

    American Fundraising Foundation

Kalley Dunn is the Director of Strategic Initiatives for The American Fundraising Foundation. The American Fundraising Foundation (Amfund) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with a Platinum rating from Guide Star. It has been serving other nonprofit organizations for over 20 years and has distributed over $33 million for worthy causes.

Each year Amfund’s Board of Directors carefully selects organizations to support through sponsorship of their events.

In recognition of its 20 year anniversary, Amfund unveiled a new logo that includes its signature tree and a Golden Pear. The tree has always stood for growth and deep roots. The newly added golden pear is symbolic of the extra touch that Amfund brings to each of its nonprofit partners.

The history of the pear is extensive and best described as symbolizing wisdom, good health, longevity, and prosperity — all the things Amfund sees in the organizations it serves and the causes each represents.

And behind every golden pear is a great story. It may be the story of a child receiving special literacy assistance, or a woman finding shelter from an abusive relationship or an animal being rescued.

Every time Amfund helps an organization it is helping others. Each person has a “golden pear story” to share. That’s Amfund… The nonprofit with the golden pear

An attorney with more than 14 years of experience in management and support of both charities and associations (including 10 years in senior leadership), I am proud to be a nonprofit and association specialist. My core belief is that these organizations can best achieve their mission if they have strong management and leadership, and I strive to provide both.
In 2015, I became Executive Director of the Atlanta Cancer Care Foundation (ACCF), leading the fundraising, administration, governance, communications, outreach and planning efforts of this locally-focused 501(c)(3) charity. ACCF provides fast, flexible, compassionate financial assistance to adult cancer patients throughout the 17-county Metro Atlanta area who are struggling as a result of the financial toxicity associated with the disease, and I am proud to be part of an organization that pays more than $200,000 in bills each year, so that patients can focus on what matters most - their treatment and recovery.

WHAT I DO: As an "accidental hostage negotiator" where I saved more than 850 lives in the only school shooting that ended without injury or death, I took this experience & now teach "Tuff Tactics" & crisis management techniques to audiences nationwide to keep everyone safer.
MY STORY: On August 19, 2013, I was a school bookkeeper, severely depressed that my husband of 33 years had recently left and I was facing the daunting challenges of raising a son with multiple disabilities as a single Mom. On August 20, 2013. I used my experiences with challenging life issues to successfully convince an armed gunman who entered the Ronald E. McNair Discovery Learning Academy to give me his AK-47. This is the only school active shooter situation in the US that ended without death or injury to school students, faculty, parents or the shooter himself.
Since that time, I have been sharing my story which has been turned into a movie (Faith Under Fire: The Antoinette Tuff Story) and a book (Prepared For a Purpose) with audiences nationwide where I share how my everyday crisis management techniques with Tuff Tactics & how they apply to a wide variety situations, both large and small. I am passionate about connecting with and inspiring businesses and public agencies to disarm their upset customers.
