  • Handle Your Business: The chaos around Trent Williams
This week on Handle Your Business, I look at the Trent Williams chaos ending and the craziness that ensued after he reported. Williams spoke to reporters about the chaos for nearly 20 minutes and detailed the major health scare he had with Dermatofibrosarcoma Protuberans (DFSP).
I also talk about the trade deadline and what happened with Michael Bennett, what didn't happen with A.J. Green and Jamal Adams, and the future behind Josh Gordon being waived by the Patriots and then claimed by the Seahawks. Gordon is making the Seahawks receiving group better if healthy. It will be one to watch for the rest of the season.
The Williams chaos continues as he is also unhappy with his contract in addition to his frustration with the Redskins front office and the medical staff. I will delve into that and the request by the Redskins for a review by the NFL Management Council and the NFL Players Association of how Williams' situation was handled.
The Trent Williams chaos doesn't seem to be ending, and it is stunning that the team did not move him at the deadline.

  • Against the Spread Podcast: Week 9 picks betting preview
Leading the Week 9 picks, Garner Minshew looks to continue to the magic of his serendipitous run since Nick Foles' Week 1 injury.
This time the campaign goes intercontinental in London against the Houston Texans in a must-win AFC South match for the Jaguars to stay in the playoff conversation.
Make sure to lock any betting play in before breakfast, as this is an early AM start sneaks up on the late-night crowd.
Minshew has helped in running back Leonard Fournette, who has bounced back to top-end form in 2019, as the 3rd year veteran is rushing for the 2nd most yards in the NFL. He also has the most yards after contact per attempt in the league and is in the top-10 in broken tackles.
Listen to the guys discuss this game through the end of the slate with the Monday Night finale with the Dallas Cowboys and New York Giants.
Be sure to head to www.profootballnetwork.com later today for Jason's prop plays of the week.

  • Any Given Friday Podcast: Who is Jameis1of1? And the New York Jets are done
Who is Jameis1of1? And the New York Jets are done! If you click here, you can find the interview from our very own Matthew Cannata. However, today, Corey Ashburn and I dove into our thoughts on who it might be. This is a new saga that, although it's been floating around, has now really hit a stride. Could it be Buccaneers GM Jason Licht? Will Jameis1of1 finally be revealed?
We also got into the Halloween spirit and gave teams, fans, players, or coaches that should fear for their job. Our primary focus was on Adam Gase, and although Joe Douglas has given the green light, the NFL is ever-changing, and anything is possible. Taco chasing and ghost seeing Gase and Darnold could be in trouble. We also mentioned that Zac Taylor of the Cincinnati Bengals could be one of the candidates that could survive due to ownership. The Bengals are also candidates for the #TankForTua campaign. We both agree that there is a chance the Miami Dolphins could lose out, but I argued that the Dolphins will 100% win on Sunday against the Jets. Do you agree?

  • Interview with Jameis1of1, alleged burner account for Bucs GM Jason Licht
Jamies1of1 has been the subject of intense scrutiny over the past 24 hours, with many claiming that this is really the burner account for Tampa Bay Buccaneers General Manager Jason Licht. When you look at all of the conspiracy theories out there, a lot seems to add up. But is it true?
We ask Jameis1of1 this very question - are you Jason Licht? Is this a burner account? And if you aren't Jason Licht, are you related to anyone or have a relationship with anyone within the Buccaneers organization? Tune in to hear his answers and you can start deciding for yourself.
We also ask him about his book on Winston and why he decided to dedicate 400+ pages to the former Florida State University superstar. What drew Jameis1of1 to him and why didn't he pick another quarterback, such as Matthew Stafford of the Detroit Lions?
We talk to Jameis1of1 about PFN's Offensive Share Metric, where Winston is ranked fifth overall when compared to 40 eligible quarterbacks. For those unfamiliar with OSM, the metric uses the NFL’s Next Gen Stats to measure how responsible a player is for their own production.
By extension, the metric is also a way to measure how much a player contributed to their team’s offense overall. For example, a player that had a very productive day statistically, but a low OSM grade, didn’t actually contribute that much offensively because their numbers were primarily the result of their teammates playing well, rather than their own play.
For Winston, it's the opposite. While the box score may tell one story, PFN OSM tells another, which is that Winston is responsible for a lot of the offense's success and when things do go wrong, it's not necessarily because of him.
We hear Jameis1of1's thoughts on that and so much more. Tune in to hear this interview and decide for yourself whether Jameis1of1 is Jason Licht, or simply a fan who is looking to right Jameis Winston's name on and off the field.

  • Nosebleed Seats: Week 9 trade deadline & 49ers
This week our Nosebleed Seats duo, Eric, and Zach kick off the show with the lackluster Week 9 trade deadline. The trade deadline came and went with much to be desired, and left fans wondering. We heard all day that the Dallas Cowboys would get Jamal Adams and the New York Jets could deal Le'Veon Bell. Alas, nothing happened. The Dolphins were the lone team to make any moves.

The Week 8 overreactions start with the San Francisco 49ers being labeled the best team in the NFL, and should Mitchell Trubisky be benched by the Chicago Bears? The 49ers remain as one of two undefeated teams in the NFL, joining the New England Patriots. Their defense has been doing a great job, and Nick Bosa has been unstoppable. On the other hand, with the Bears, it seems obvious now that Matt Nagy doesn't trust his former first-round pick in Trubisky. Before the Week 9 trade deadline started, the 49ers already made a move. On the actual trade deadline yesterday, the Bears failed to do so.

There is also a Thursday Night Football preview with the 49ers being favored by a million according to the Nosebleed Seats duo. It's a divisional matchup between the Arizona Cardinals and 49ers. This should be an easy game for the undefeated 49ers.

  • The Fantasy Fixers: Fantasy Football Week 9 Waiver Wire and Trade Talk
On this week’s episode of The Fantasy Fixers, we discuss the Week 8 fantasy football news around the league. Tune to find out what The Fantasy Fixers believe are the fantasy implications of the completed NFL trades involving Kenyan Drake move to the Arizona Cardinals and the San Francisco 49ers obtaining Emmanuel Sanders. The Fantasy Fixers also take a look at the injuries around the league, including the fantasy football impact of the neck injury to Denver Broncos quarterback Joe Flacco. Who is Brandon Allen? How will Allen affect the fantasy fortune of the Broncos players? The Carolina Panthers will continue to start Kyle Allen as Cam Newton is still rehabbing from his Lisfranc injury. Can Kyle Allen rebound from his awful Week 8?
In our infamous Who Do You Love segment, we discuss a few fantasy football dilemmas as who should fantasy football owners start in Week 9: Matthew Stafford or Kirk Cousins? Ezekiel Elliot or Saquon Barkley? D.J. Chark or Tyreek Hill? Listen in to find out who the Fantasy Fixers believe fantasy owners should get in their lineups?

  • Handle Your Business Podcast: NFL officiating problems
On this week's Handle Your Business, I look at the NFL's officiating problems and defend the referee's role in them. I explain how the NFL Competition Committee causes these problems and just how many different priorities the refs have to juggle because of points of emphasis issued by the committee.
The controversy mushroomed when Clay Mathews III of the Los Angeles Rams was fined for this tweet criticizing the boss of the referees Al Riveron. Earlier in the season, the referees came under heavy criticism after a dubious illegal hand to the face call aided Green Bay in a win over Detroit.
The Competition Committee had the same chairman for over two decades and other members for more than a decade. Among the reforms I propose is a specific time-limited term on the committee and not allowing anyone to serve consecutive terms. Then I take a look at the NFL's improving ratings and the reason why that's happening. A lot of credit goes to gambling and fantasy sports but should also go to some of the NFL's emerging young quarterback stars.

  • Against the Spread Podcast: Week 8 picks Teaser
Ryan Gosling and Jason Sarney of The Against The Spread podcast are back with their Week 8 Picks. The pair of prognosticators look to close out a strong first half of the season as several plays in Week 8 scream "teaser."
Appropriately named, the "teaser" play can look dangerously easy to hit after placing the initial wager. It is usually one mistake that ruins the ticket, but listen to the guys make a convincing case for a few teams to increase those lines to double-digit spreads. Those situations can see the underdog even sneak a win while you could have them getting more than a touchdown worth of points in your back pocket.
While scouring the slate before making their Week 8 picks, Gosling and Sarney are returning to the teams they have been bullish on all season, including the Packers, Panthers, Eagles, and much to one host's betting dismay, the Chargers.

  • Any Given Friday: Patriots add pieces and could Tom Brady potentially move on?
It's time for NFL Week 8 and another episode of the Any Given Friday podcast. During the podcast, we discuss the latest news with the New England Patriots and the trades of Mahamed Sanu and Michael Bennett. This Patriots offense needed help. It is a Patriots offense that has been slowed down and something we haven't seen in years. With the addition of Sanu, could the Patriots offense with Tom Brady at the helm finally move the football?
During the Patriots talk, we discussed whether we would take Brady or Bill Belichick longterm. The two have their history - with Brady and the Alex Guerro/TB12 controversy in the locker room and with Belichick attempting to push Brady out for Jimmy Garoppolo. If it were up to you and you were the owner of the Patriots, would you choose the greatest head coach of all-time or the greatest quarterback of all-time?
Eric and I finished by discussing five quarterbacks in bad situations (-Mitchell Trubisky) that could likely be on a different team next season. We go back and forth but eventually agree on why we would pick a certain quarterback to last out the losing. Could one of these quarterbacks be on the Patriots? And could the Patriots be looking at the quarterback in Los Angeles?

  • Nosebleed Seats: NFL Trades galore and a look at TNF
This week on The Nosebleed Seats, we cover all the NFL trades that have gone down in the last couple of days. Everyone except for the Detroit Lions has made a move, and most have been substantial. Wolchuk is fired up after a Cowboys victory and at one point, disrobed out of sheer excitement. Eric talks about some disrespectful happenings over the NFL weekend. Which one was most disrespectful? And which NFL Trades did you find the most shocking?
Eric has believed Brissett and Bridgewater are the two best stories of the NFL season thus far. The two quarterbacks have been very good for their respective teams since the start. Both have even shared why they are currently starters. Besides the injury to Drew Brees, both quarterbacks have been thrown into the role. Brissett is going to be the future of the Indianapolis Colts, and although Bridgewater might be as well, he will step-aside once Drew Brees is healthy. We close with a little Redskins and Vikings talk to preview some TNF.
