This week on the PFN Draft Insiders Podcast with Tony Pauline, we talk a mix of both NFL and NCAA College Football. We kick things off with a discussion around several NFL rookies - Daniel Jones, Kyle Allen, Josh Jacobs, and Devin Bush. We also touch on two second-year players - Jaire Alexander and Baker Mayfield - who are having contrasting seasons. While Alexander is playing at a high level right now, Mayfield is the complete opposite and has struggled out of the gate.

Looking back on Week 4 of the college football slate, we discuss several risers and sliders. Among the risers are C Tyler Biadasz from Wisconsin, LB Akeem Davis-Gaither from Appalachian State, and TE Jake Breeland from Oregon. The biggest slider? TE Jared Pinkney from Vanderbilt.

We continued with our Week 4 recap by looking back at several games and how players helped or hurt their draft stock. This includes Notre Dame vs. Georgia, Tennessee vs. Florida, and Cal vs. Ole Miss. 

Finally, we look ahead to Week 5 on the college football slate and preview several matchups that will feature some players to watch for. This slate includes the Ole Miss defensive line prospects vs. Alabama, the Kansas State cornerbacks vs. Tylan Wallace and Oklahoma State, and the Mississippi State defensive ends vs. the Auburn offensive tackles.

Packers (-4.5) vs. Eagles

The Philadelphia Eagles are walking into this week's matchup against the Green Bay Packers as a (-4.5) underdog. They are suffering from multiple injuries to their offense, and the Packers are looking to get on a roll this week. The Packers come into this week 3-0, and the offense is starting to find a groove. Their defense is excellent as well, and with the Eagles injuries, a win seems far stretched. 

Even with the offense finding a small groove last week with Aaron Jones, they still aren't trustworthy. Aaron Rodgers doesn't look the same, although he didn't play in the preseason. This seems to be affecting all teams on the injury front and even some teams with their offense. The Eagles have gotten the injury side of things, while the Packers got off to the slow start on offense. 

For the Eagles, it will take a lot to get this win. A win against the Packers could help turn their season around even in Week 4. The injuries and inconsistency is a problem, but winning solves everything. This Eagles team has the potential to be good, and when they get healthy, they could be fun to watch. 

Chargers (-17) at Dolphins

This won't be too time consuming. Unless you are a fan of the Miami Dolphins or Los Angeles Chargers, there is no reason to watch this game. Yes, Josh Rosen looked at the very least promising against the Dallas Cowboys. However, to quote The Beatles, he could get by with a little help from his friends. The Dolphins have been terrible to start this season and regardless if you think they are tanking or not, Ryan says that "...no spread is too big for this team." Look towards the Eagles vs. Packers matchup for an entertaining show.

Undefeated Teams - The dream start 

Our hosts took a look at some of the top articles on PFN each week. During this weeks episode, they zero in on the undefeated teams and try to figure out which 3-0 team will remain undefeated the longest. 

The New England Patriots have played one of the weaker schedules in the NFL and have started undefeated. The beat down on the Steelers, Dolphins, and Jets. It was a playground for the offensive and defensive side of the football. They play the 3-0 Buffalo Bills on Sunday, but the Bills barely beat the Jets in Week 1 and will need to hold up against the Patriots to be taken seriously. Then they seemingly have three easy games against the Redskins, Giants, and Jets again before meeting the Browns. 

Stats of the week - The Chiofalo special

The preseason had many people thinking that the best divisions in football would be the NFC South or the AFC North. However, after the Drew Brees and Big Ben injuries, this has not been the case. The best division has been the NFC North with the Packers and Lions starting undefeated and Minnesota and Chicago with only one loss each. This division is the most competitive in football right now, and the Lions could be unbeaten if not for the tie against the Cardinals and rookie Kyler Murray. The NFC North makes each game exciting, and the Lions will face the Chiefs this weekend. They will be competing directly with Mahomes mania. Should be a fun matchup to watch at a 1:00 pm EST starting time.

Fill-in quarterbacks rule in Week 3

In Week 3, fantasy owners saw the emergence of fill-in quarterbacks. The Week three takeaways start with the quarterback that made the most significant buzz, in New York Giants quarterback Daniel Jones. All Daniel Jones did in his first NFL start is to lead the Giants in a comeback victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Jones threw for 336 yards and two touchdowns and ran for two more scores. 

The Carolina Panthers were forced to turn to Kyle Allen after Cam Newton reaggravated a foot sprain that he initially suffered in the preseason. Kyle Allen stepped up and threw for four touchdowns in the Panthers 38-20 win over the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday. 

Unfortunately, not all of the replacement quarterbacks fair well in Week 3. The Fantasy Fixers explain what they saw with Mason Rudolph taking over for Ben Roethlisberger but lose to the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday. Additionally, Luke Falk and the New York Jets were embarrassed by the New England Patriots. 

The Week 3 Winners and Losers

The Fantasy Fixers analyze Week 3 and explain why quarterbacks Daniel Jones and Kyle Allen are winners along with another surprising quarterback. Find out which running backs are winners as the Fantasy Fixers take a look at two running backs that fantasy owners should consider winners in Week 3. 

There is a running back that suffers as a loser in Week 3 due to his teammates' success. A rookie tight end is a loser in Week 3 after consecutive poor outings after a breakout performance in his debut. 

Another big loser in Week 3 is the Cleveland Browns offense. The Browns were missing eight players and went toe-to-toe with the NFC Champions Los Angeles Rams in the Sunday Night Matchup. However, they suffered a loss due to horrendous play-calling at the end of the game, and Baker Mayfield is not playing to the level we witnessed last season. 

Pick Up City

The New York Giants are celebrated their big win on Sunday. However, they also received terrible news that their franchise running back Saquon Barkley suffered a high-ankle sprain and will be out four-to-eight weeks. Barkley owners will need to look to the waiver wire to help their fantasy rosters. 

The most logical replacement for Barkley on fantasy rosters is his replacement, Wayne Gallman. The Fantasy Fixers believe that initially, Gallman will get the touches and is an excellent addition based on volume alone. The San Francisco 49ers continue to produce productive fantasy running backs, which includes Jeff Wilson. Wilson has consecutive weeks of scoring two touchdowns and is someone fantasy owners should look to pick up this week.

Last week, Jacksonville Jaguars cornerback Jalen Ramsey demanded a trade after expressing frustration with the coaching staff and management. Rumors abounded that he would be traded after Sunday's games were played, as the AFC South continues to be the most dramatic division in the NFL this season.

So, where is Jalen Ramsey going?

George is joined by Pro Football Network's AFC South writer Rob Paul to discuss where Ramsey could land. There are a few surprise teams in the reckoning as well as some of the usual contenders for a championship. Rob and George discuss two teams that are viewed as contenders that absolutely should take the plunge and make a deal for Ramsey.

Antonio Brown cut, Minkah Fitzpatrick dealt

With new allegations leveled against Antonio Brown, the New England Patriots released him after one game. The cap implications on the Patriots as well as Brown's future prospects are discussed.

Also in the AFC, the Pittsburgh Steelers surrendered a first-round pick to the Miami Dolphins to acquire defensive back Minkah Fitzpatrick. There's been some discussion that the price was too steep given the potential need at quarterback for Pittsburgh. George points to Fitzpatrick's contract as one of the reasons why it's such a good deal for the Steelers.

On today's show, Andy Herman & Tony Pauline dive into some NFL storylines, including the performance of the 0-2 New York Jets, the struggles of Chicago Bears quarterback Mitch Trubisky, and the Pittsburgh Steelers trading for former Miami Dolphins first-round pick Minkah Fitzpatrick.

We also do a deep dive into some of the NFL Draft's biggest risers and sliders following week three of college football. And of course, we look ahead to the best matchups coming up this weekend, including an epic Georgia-Notre Dame matchup on Saturday night.

Eli Manning - HOF

Since being benched for rookie quarterback Daniel Jones, the NFL media has argued over the career of Eli Manning. While most teammates decided that their former quarterback is a Hall of Fame player, some media members have disagreed. Manning went 116-116 in his career (during the regular season) as the New York Giants starting quarterback. His tenure began with a 1-6 record and for now, has finished with an 0-2 start. He is a two time Super Bowl champion and won the Super Bowl MVP in both appearances. He's thrown a lot of interceptions and a lot of touchdowns, he has a .500 record, but co-host Kai'Chien believes that Manning is a HOF quarterback. 

Quarterback carousel

Eli Manning was benched for Daniel Jones. Ryan Fitzpatrick was benched for Josh Rosen. Big Ben is hurt, Drew Brees is damaged, and Cam Newton is hurt. Five teams will start with new quarterbacks this week. Within the five teams, there is a rookie, three second-year quarterbacks, and a veteran in Teddy Bridgewater. The only debatable starter for the future at this point is Bridgewater, and he will get to prove his worth and why the New Orleans Saints signed him to a new deal. For Rosen and Rudolf, it is to prove that they are the future for their respective teams. Jones is a rookie and will get some time, and Kyle Allen is there for the time being. It will be an exciting and probably sloppy week of football in during Week 3.

Injuries and massive lines highlight Week 3 Betting action

Following yet another successful week of betting predictions and prognostication, Jason Sarney and Ryan Gosling come off of an overall 8-2 week with gameplays and player props!

From a pure betting-on-game action, the Pro Football Network Gambling Crew went a whopping 20-8-1 during Week 2!

Last week was certainly kind to the Against the Spread hosts in their better endeavors, yet the same was not to be said for several quarterbacks across the league. Ben Roethlisberger and Drew Brees suffered significant injuries, as Pittsburgh lost their leader for the season, and New Orleans theirs for about a month and a half, approximately.

Kyler Murray looks for first career victory

It is Week 3, and Kyler Murray seeks his first career win and the potential of the strange-looking 1-1-1 record. Murray has looked fantastic in two games and has shown brilliance in his passing ability thus far. 

On the flip side, another former 1st overall pick has shown potential regression in his abilities. Health is also a significant concern for Cam Newton, which is why the actual line on this game is moving, and in some cases, only off. 

FanDuel had this game Wednesday evening at -2.5, which seems very hittable with Newton's injury, and the momentum Murray has built up. The betting action on this game will undoubtedly be on the home team with a hurting Panthers signal-caller and Christian McCaffery coming off of a stinker of a performance against Tampa Bay last Thursday night. 

Chiefs versus Ravens and Ryan versus Jason 

There is the game, and then the game within the game. Usually, Ryan and Jason share their game-by-game thoughts, but a -6.5 Kansas City line has one co-host worried. 

While both love an over betting line to hit, and the Chiefs to win, Gosling has more faith that the Patrick Mahomes-led Chiefs beat Lamar Jackson and the Ravens by more than a touchdown. Sarney thinks Jackson could lead this game to a fourth-quarter story-book ending, however coming up a tad short. 

Will those 6-plus points hurt Gosling and the Chiefs in a betting sense or will Sarney and the Ravens cover ever so slightly and profit on Sunday?

NFL Trades Galore

Multiple NFL trades and new storylines for the football world. On today's episode of the Nosebleed Seats, Eric and Zach kick off the show by discussing the top NFL storylines from around the league. Minkah Fitzpatrick was traded to the Pittsburgh Steelers, and Eric's Dolphins are continuing the "Tank for Tua" momentum by stocking up on more picks. Eric is pleased with the deal since Pittsburgh seems destined for a top 10 pick after the Big Ben injury, but he knows they better nail the 2020 Draft. If the Dolphins GM Chris Grier fails to get it right, things will get ugly in Miami. Especially after trading away many of their best young cornerstones over the last few weeks.

Eric and Zach also discuss whether or not Zach's Dallas Cowboys should make a move for Jalen Ramsey or Jamal Adams. Both players have requested a trade this week. The New York Jets, of course, making Adams upset. Meanwhile, the coaching staff arguing with Jalen Ramsey in a back and forth is not suitable for the Jaguars. 

Power rankings and Dallas Cowboys

The fellas wrapped up the show with NFL power rankings and some of the best NFL stats from Week 2. Eric and Zach each give their top five teams in the league after two weeks of play. Everybody knows the Patriots and Chiefs are two of the top teams, but Eric and Zach disagree about some others. Of course, Zach is salivating over his 2-0 Cowboys, and the newly found offensive greatness thanks to the young baby faced savior, Kellen Moore. Good news is, Zach isn't delusional to the point of having America's Team atop his power rankings, but my oh my they're getting close.

What is the fantasy impact of two future Hall of Fame quarterbacks being injured?

Ouch! That hurts! Fantasy football owners are feeling the aftermath of the barrage of impactful injuries in Week 2. 

The significance of the season-ending elbow injury to Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger will have multiple fantasy implications. 

We will get to see 2018 third-round pick Mason Rudolph take over the Steelers offense. In his NFL debut, Rudolph completed 12-of-19 passes for 112 yards, two touchdowns to tight end Vance McDonald, and one interception for a 92.5 passer rating. 

The Fantasy Fixers examines how this will affect the Steelers offensive playmakers, running back James Connor, wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster, and tight end Vance McDonald. The Fantasy Fixers believe that James Connor will benefit as long as he is healthy to get back on the field. If not, they believe Jaylan Samuels is a priority add. The guys believe that JuJu falls into the WR2 range with less boom potential. They think that James Washington will be the main target for Rudolph since they played together at Oklahoma State. Look for tight end Vance McDonald to play an essential role as evidenced by McDonald catching both touchdowns passes from Rudolph in relief of Roethlisberger.

Another impactful injury was New Orleans Saints future Hall-of-Fame quarterback Drew Brees suffering a ligament injury to his thumb on his throwing hand. His thumb requires surgery and will be out a minimum of six weeks. 

Teddy Bridgewater stepped in for Brees and struggled in relief against the Los Angeles Rams Sunday. The offense was stagnant, and the Fantasy Fixers believes that the attack will struggle immensely with Bridgewater behind center. The Fantasy Fixers project that the only players to hold on to are running back Alvin Kamara and wide receiver Michael Thomas. They also bring up the fact that maybe Taysom Hill might be a better option for the Saints offense. 

The Week 2 Winners and Losers

The Fantasy Fixers review Week 2 and explain why quarterbacks Lamar Jackson and Gardner Minshew are winners. Wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders returned this season after suffering a torn Achilles and helped the Denver Broncos beat the Chicago Bears. 

Every team facing the Miami Dolphins and the Cincinnati Bengals are weekly winners. The Fantasy Fixers suggest playing every offensive player and opposing defenses against these two teams. 

The Week 2 losers include the distinct selections of Steelers and Saints offensive players except for their playmaking standouts. Duke Johnson, who lost touches to Carlos Hyde on Sunday is another Week 2 loser. Two Gordons, Josh, and Melvin are also Week 2 losers.
