The fullness of joy most people seek (whether they know it or not) can only be found in a relationship with your Creator. And God IS your Creator even if you don’t believe in Him.
But back to the reason I’m sharing this with you today.
First, a little backstory.
David, who was King of Israel, was a songwriter. Many of his lyrics, known as Psalms, are found in the Bible. And he talked and sang, a lot, about his relationship with God. He wrote, “You will show me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.“
You won’t find a world of peace, tranquility, and wealth simply because you place your faith in Jesus. You won’t see the troubles of the world fade away when you look to God for answers. In fact, you might even see troubles increase. Well, at least from time to time.
Yeah, but the joy I’m talking about springs from Living Water. And it flows through your spirit. In other words, your joy won’t be based on the things and people of this world. Your joy will be focused on the only One who can (and will) give you eternal life. Your “three score and ten” here on planet earth is a tiny fraction of eternity. And that puts it in perspective.
I’m urging you, today, to consider your eternal potential. As a Christian, I know, without a doubt, there will be an eternity of existence for every human being. Where you’ll spend it depends on the choice you make in the here and now. Choose the Life your Creator wants to give you.
Because you can exist as a bodiless, spiritless, soul forever tormented by the knowledge of “what could have been.” Or you can live in the fullness God has prepared. In a body that won’t grow old and die since you’ll be tapped directly into life.
Please, choose Life and experience the eternal fullness of joy.

If you’re a human being, I urge you (and challenge you) to use your gifts and talents, and say a prayer for protection, for unborn babies. These days it’s far more dangerous to be an unborn baby in America than it is to be just about anyone else anywhere else. That’s incredibly sad and despicable.
And if you’re a creatively gifted person you have an advantage. Yeah, writers, singers, and artists can do more to change hearts and minds of people than anyone else. I strongly believe that. Pastors and other speakers can do a great job. And many do. But there’s nothing like words and music and pictures to create effective, lasting messages.
America has lost its soul to the god of selfishness. Because we turned away from the God of Creation. So, it’s no surprise that abortion, murder, child abuse, racism, and so many other sins spin out of control. In fact, it’s inevitable.
My hope is that I can write, sing, draw, and produce some effective messages to change hearts. I pray that God will direct my path and bless my efforts. Because I know…

Every year, there are highly effective assassins paid off roughly 500 million, in your tax dollars, to make sure innocent, preborn babies never see the light of day.
Yeah, that group is well- organized, well-funded, and well-equipped to kill over 300,000 little children every year. Let’s face it. They get the job done. So, why would anybody wanna rock that boat? Especially when it means men and women can live promiscuously without consequences.
About 10 years ago I wrote about how Jesus said we should let our charitable deeds be done in secret. Well, it really shouldn’t be difficult to see how killing unborn children hardly falls under the category of charitable deeds. But, I think the group, ironically named “Planned Parenthood”, believes they’re doing charitable work because they’re somewhat secretive about their deeds.
Wouldn’t it be great if politicians, especially those who say they’re against abortion, made sure that no one ever got paid off again for killing innocent, unborn children?
But what does it take to stop that from happening?
First, please speak up. Use whatever means you have. Because saying and doing nothing will make sure that “legal precedent” continues to cast its dark shadow over what’s right.
Then, don’t support any politician or candidate who would support the abortion status quo.
Sadly, I don’t think many will take my advice. Because the paid off worldview is so darn convenient. Well, maybe not for the unborn children. But, hey, as long as there are no other consequences, then it’s just the price of doing business. Right?
It’s a worldview that’s not for me and you.

Here in America, we still enjoy a certain amount of “free speech.” During the 20th century this country participated in two world wars. And many men and women fought and died to get rid of evil dictators and despicable governments. The ultimate sacrifice for God-given rights.
Thomas Jefferson sort of acknowledged where our rights originate when he composed the Declaration of Independence. He said “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.”
Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness certainly covers it. But, unfortunately, it’s becoming less and less self-evident to so many people these days. Especially the part about rights coming from “their Creator.”
And I’m amazed, but not surprised, at how many American citizens would rather censor speech and give up rights than admit they have a Creator. Plus, so many would rather use their so-called “free speech” as a reason to burn flags, defecate in public, and stand up for murdering babies.
OK, at this point, you might be thinking, “Geez Louise, Tony. I thought you were the guy who writes poems and entertains people of all ages with your pleasant wit and wisdom.”
Yeah, I understand how you might wonder why I’d wrangle my rhymes and reasons into such serious stuff. Especially that whole murdering babies part. After all, abortion conversations are almost always so confoundedly confrontational. But here’s the thing.
Free speech and a right to life can all disappear when caring people say nothing to defend those rights. And I believe I’m compelled, by my Creator, to use my decades of writing experience to call out horrible injustice. So, if that means writing rhymes to show the reasons, then that’s what I’ll do.
And I thank you, from the top of my big ol’ black heart, for your willingness to either share my rhymes and reasons with others or share your own. Because there’s a gigantic, hurting world out there that needs to know hope is available. And they need to know it’s a limited time offer.

This dreadful message is dark. Too dark for the front page news and prime time. So, you won’t see or hear it unless you tune into channels where people share the truth even when it’s unpopular. I’ve shared that kind of truth for decades. And I haven’t enjoyed even one day of it. Not even before I lost most of my “friends” because I dared to speak up this way.
Of course, my humble publication is far from a worldwide phenomenon. But it CAN be seen and heard worldwide. At least for now. And I can see, with the help of analytics software, that my posts and podcast episodes are seen and heard by a lot of people in parts of the world I’ll never visit.
And here’s the reason I bring it up. Because, after almost 60 years, there’s still a killing spree going on right here in America (and around the world), and the vast majority of human beings couldn’t care less.
If someone took a so-called “assault weapon” into crowded areas and killed over 1000 people a day, don’t you think they’d be front page news? They’d be top story on every TV “news” channel. And their face would be plastered on every media around the world. Especially if the “news” organization could spin the story into some sort of white and right wing connection.
Of course, if someone could kill that many innocent bystanders, their evil face SHOULD be known to all.
And only “right-wing extremists” like me seem to be willing to tell the story.
But I gotta tell you something about me. I Hate, with a capital H, to tell this story. Because it exposes the awful truth about my country. And I love America. But America has gone the way of every other powerful nation or empire in history. We’re no longer the bright, beacon of hope to a wayward world.
I wrote a song about this back in 2002. It’s not an upbeat song. It’s not an anthem. And it’s not a song that’ll ever get any “airplay” or streaming time. But I wanted to write a song about this dark side of our culture in a way that maybe gave the story some humanity. You can let me know if you think it does that.
Side note: the song mentions 40 years. Sadly, another 20 years has been added. Wouldn’t it be awesome to wake up to this front page news, tomorrow? “Legalized Abortion Abolished”

Ok, all seriousness aside. My brain thinks in rhymes. Not 24 hours a day. But certainly every day. My wife will tell you about (or rather ask you to save her from) my daily rhymes. She’s been with me over 30 years. And somehow she’s managed to stay reasonably sane. Despite all my iambic pentameter parameter
Yes, I’ve written plenty of those. Because I’ve created tons of music and books for kids. And, for some strange reason, the little rugrats seem to like cute and cuddly and funny stuff. Go figure.
Anyway…
A lot of brand experts will tell you how you need people to either love you or hate you. Because that’s proof you actually stand for something. And then you know the ones who choose to follow you, or hit the like button, or give you thumbs up, truly know what they’re getting.
So, I CHOOSE to do that with daily rhymes and reasons. And I emphasized the word, “choose,” because I’m very pro choice when it comes to actions in life. Uh-oh. That might sound confusing to the uninitiated.
No, I’m NOT pro choice when it comes to aborting unborn children. But I AM pro choice when it comes to the decisions you make in life. Because I know God did not create robots or automatons who can only do His bidding. And He did NOT mandate or preordain everything you and I (and everyone) would do throughout history.
Your Creator knows that in order for love to truly be love it has to be freely given. So, you and I get to choose to love Him or not. And we also get to choose what we do in this life. That’s why I added this next poem to my daily rhymes a few years ago.

You’re standing on the edge of a decision.
You’re drowning in the murky mass opinion.
Caught in a whirlwind, swimming in flames,
You tell yourself it’s sweet emancipation.

It was fifteen years ago, next month, that some friends of mine attempted to put together and display the largest protest sign ever. The event took place in Golden, Colorado (near Denver) to send a message to the Democratic National Convention held in that city. And, according to the Guinness Book of World RecordsTM they succeeded.
According to American Right to Life, an abortion abolition organization, the sign “…weighs more than 2,700 pounds and was sewed together with more than four miles of seams connecting 2,400 sheets. And backpacked onto location and unfurled by 44 letter carriers with spotters a mile away to ensure proper letter placement.”
And the group added, for anyone concerned about environmental impact, “After three hours ARTL removed the DNC Sheets Of Shame and left the area cleaner than it had been.”
And the width wasn’t accidental. If you weren’t there, or you’ve never seen the sign, here’s a music video:

I was juggling three jobs, at the time, and was only able to make it to the mountainside (with my video camera) as they were coming back down. The higher elevation in Colorado can really tax your breathing. But everyone was walking back down with smiles on their faces, praises to God, and even some singing. Pretty cool.
At that time in history, abortion had already claimed the lives of at least 40 million Americans. And, sadly, many millions more have been murdered in the fifteen years since then. That’s despite the efforts of most pro life organizations to establish, market, and support abortion regulation. A horrible plan. With obviously horrible results.
I saw a meme that drove home this point. It had a picture, from some time in the 1850’s I think, of a slave with chains on his neck. And the text that went with the picture said that he was not a person. Next to that picture was one of an unborn baby. And the text that went with it said, “And now this isn’t a person either.”
You and I, and every other person who has ever lived on this beautiful blue planet, are human beings. People. Persons. Not “viable persons.” And not “self-sustaining persons.” Just persons. Made in God’s image and likeness.
So, even if the largest protest sign ever didn’t stop the killing, every person has equal value and a…

It’s an event where business owners and entrepreneurs go to “spot trends, build partnerships, or secure brand rights for your products.” It’s the Licensing Expo. And it was held in Las Vegas this year. A 60 year old woman, you might have heard of, was there. For a long time she’s been one of those so-called “beautiful people.”
She was also the youngest woman to enter Licensing Hall of Fame. And she was the “youngest Icon in the Furniture Industry,” an award from the IHFRA (International Home Furnishings Representatives Association).
So, one of the beautiful people and yet connected to the home furnishings industry, eh?
Sounds kinda quirky to me. But it doesn’t stop there. She’s also on the board of “the James Madison Committee at Princeton University, NFL PI, WNBPA, International Youth Chair, and National Pediatric Cancer Foundation.” Plus she’s apparently an “Ambassador (and major donor) to the Elizabeth Taylor AIDS Foundation.”
Well, who is the person already? Right?
Would you believe she’s a former famous swimsuit model? I hope you’d believe it. Because she was. But now she’s considered a mogul. Yeah, her company, Kathy Ireland ® Worldwide is huge. And she’s got her entrepreneurial fingers in a lot of pies.
Oh, did I mention she’s Kathy Ireland? Uh-huh. Remember her from those Sports Illustrated covers and features?
But one subject most people wouldn’t associate Kathy with is abortion. And yet, in the video I’m sharing, you’ll see she uses scientific logic and reason to show why she became pro life.

You and I might not be considered one of the “beautiful people” in this world. But you and I have a voice. That’s one of the few benefits of this social media world we inhabit now.
So, even if you can’t talk, write down your thoughts and use your voice. Tell people about the eternal value of human life. And it DOES have eternal value because it comes from the one true, eternal, living, loving Creator of Heaven and Earth. And your life, fashioned after God Himself, makes you one of the beautiful people after all. Yeah, me too.
So, anytime somebody tells you only weirdo Christians are pro life, share this video. It’s proof that even swimsuit models can understand that every person is a person, no matter how small.

My wife became a certified health coach several years ago. And one of the key things her instructor mentioned, that hit home with me, was that self care is the best healthcare. There’s a ton of rhyme and reason to that assertion.
And a friend of mine shared a link, in her social media feed, to an article about Walgreen’s and CVS drugstores. The article talked about how those companies will be selling the abortion pill that’s killed millions of babies in the womb.
And the article also said, “Their decision comes after the Biden admin decided yesterday to allow pharmacies to sell the dangerous abortion drug that has killed millions of babies and injured thousands of women. Previously, mifepristone could only be dispensed by clinics, medical offices, and hospitals or under the supervision of a licensed physician.”
But why should’t drugstores get in on all that money-making potential? Right? After all, they’re in the “healthcare” business, too. Right?
Because they believe it empowers women to be in control of their own bodies. Sadly, it’s not women’s bodies the pill kills. So, there’s no actual care of self involved. And there’s downright hatred for that little life they created and decided to abort/kill.
But the abortion pill, just like abortion clinics, medical offices, hospitals, and most doctors, is just part of the “healthcare” business/industry. And, as I’ve said for decades, calling what they do “healthcare” is a misnomer at best. Because there’s neither health nor care involved anymore.
I talk about health fairly frequently here on my website and on the The Power of God’s Love Podcast. But, just in case you hadn’t noticed, I’m not a doctor. And I don’t play one on TV. I’m just a guy who cares about my fellow human beings. Even the tiniest ones still in their mothers’ wombs who need help to live long enough to focus on self care. Because they’re my neighbors, too.
Everyone has a right to life.

The most serious issue facing our nation and the world isn’t fiscal. It’s physical. And it isn’t gun control or rock-n-roll. It’s mind control and your very soul. The most serious issue this world faces starts in the heart (which is not to be trusted, by the way, so don’t blindly follow your heart). But I want mine to be an optimistic voice in the middle of all the doom and gloom talk. Not to diminish the reality of the doom and gloom. But to be a reminder of the Hope we have.
“The Belly Song” celebrates life. And how it begins in a belly, so to speak. Here’s the video I made for a song. It’s part of my music for kids. But adults have told me they get a kick out of it, too. And I hope you’ll enjoy the optimistic voice approach. Feel free to let me know, either way. Here ya go…

I dearly love that I’m alive. Don’t you? And I don’t take it for granted. Well, not all the time anyway. I get to think, live, laugh, and love. And I believe it’s every person’s right to have those same gifts.
And every person started somewhere. It wasn’t in a hospital. Every person starts life in a mother’s womb. That’s one of the easiest things in the world to prove. Where things get muddy (for those who are easily confused) is how soon can we say a person is a person in the womb.
Personally, I have no problem saying a person is a person from their very beginning.
But maybe you can’t say for sure WHEN your personhood begins. You still know, without a doubt, WHERE it begins. And for now (despite the efforts of freaky so-called scientists) that’s still in a mother’s womb. And I know all it took for me to exist outside my mother’s womb was for everyone to leave me alone inside my mother’s womb. Mom and Dad and doctors and society let me get from point A to point B. No one chose to abort that life-affirming process.
