Pro Wrestling Moments

Part 1 - recorded August 18th 2022

This was a strange old show, as the video on youtube (https://youtu.be/_QnCvKEXul4) seemed to be some sort of production version with the breaks not cut out and some odd/hilarious commentary from Jim Ross.

It also featured Terry 'Bam Bam' Gordy defending the UWF Heavyweight title against 'Dr Death' Steve Williams.

This week's show is brought to you with Dan Phillips (@danpffc).

Part 2 - recorded September 2nd 2022

Stuart Roberts (@wakefieldcanary) joins me IN PERSON for a review of a UWF television show featuring a 'Country whipping' match main event of Buddy Roberts & Michael Hayes vs Terry Taylor & Ted Dibiase.

A full run down of the pay per view and all of the post event drama along with Dan Phillips (@danpffc)

The card :

• AEW World Championship: Jon Moxley (c) vs. CM Punk

Dan Phillips (@danpffc), Louis Williams & Stuart Roberts (@wakefieldcanary) join me for 24 hours in the Welsh Capital and the first WWE main roster pay per view in the United Kingdom in 30 years.

There is also a cameo from the Random Wrestling Review podcast boys, and please don't play that bit in front of your gran/child as there may be a light (heavy) expletive in there!

Dan Phillips (@danpffc) returns for a show featuring the following :

- Chris Adams returns

- 'Iceman' King Parsons vs Art Crews

-  A feature on Terry Taylor and his TV title loss

-  Gustavo Mendoza vs the Missing Link

-  The Fantastics vs Sting & Eddie Gilbert

(ps all you sharp listeners, I made a mistake in the recording and said this episode aired on October 10th 1986 when in actuality it aired on October 4th. I humbly apologise)

In a departure from our normal programming, this week is an opportunity to hear some of the classic promos and angles from this period AS THEY HAPPENED.

We've got everything from the explosion of 'Hot Stuff & Hyatt International' to Ted Dibiase, Michael Hayes and even Missy Hyatt working for Dark Journey for a day.

This is all intermixed with some analysis from me, and the odd tangent.

Enjoy!

Dan Phillips (@danpffc) joins me to discuss the G1 Climax 32 final between Kazuchika Okada & Will Ospreay.  Plus we chat CM Punk's controversial promo on Dynamite AND Kenny Omega's return.

Ben Spindler (@tinkholloaway), from the superb Random Wrestling Review podcast (@RWRpoduk), joins me for episode two of 'Three From' and this time the 'Hardcore Legend' Mick Foley was drawn out.

We covered the following from Foley's back catalogue :

Cactus Jack vs Paul Orndorff - Falls Count Anywhere - Superbrawl III - February 21st 1993.

Vader vs Cactus Jack - Texas Death Match - Halloween Havoc - October 24th 1993.

Cactus Jack vs W*ing Kanemura - FMW 7th Anniversary Show - May 5th 1996

Plus we discuss our plans for the upcoming 'Clash at the Castle' WWE pay per view in Cardiff, Wales which we are attending (and which is certainly not taking place from a castle).

Callum Barnes (@callumpbarnes) returns to review another week of UWF action featuring 'Hollywood' John Tatum challenging Terry Taylor for the UWF Television Title plus Chavo Guerrero, Rick Steiner & Jim Duggan.

Callum Barnes (@callumpbarnes) is back to review another great episode of the UWF featuring a superb segment with 'Hot Stuff International' plus the tag title rematch between Eddie Gilbert & Sting defending against the Fantastics.

The tension in Hyatt & Hot Stuff International continues, plus Jim Duggan challenged for the UWF Heavyweight title vs Terry 'Bam Bam' Gordy.
