Pro Wrestling Moments

Dan Phillips (@danpffc) & Mark Dunderdale (@dopper6) join me for a review of AEW’s first pay per view of 2022 featuring :

• "Hangman" Adam Page (c) vs. Adam Cole - Singles Match for the AEW World Championship

Callum Barnes (@callumpbarnes) makes his debut on the show, and what a week to debut.

The version of this episode on YouTube (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SA03rFj3c14&list=WL&index=5&t=2644s) has ALL THE ORIGINAL BRILLIANT ADVERTS FROM 1986!

If that's not reason enough to watch & then listen to us, then how about adding in Al Perez vs Buzz Sawyer?  How about the Rock N Roll Express teaming with Ricky Gibson (Ricky/Robert/Ricky)?  How about the Sheepherders?  How about Koko Ware throwing the most brutal looking drop kick I've ever seen?

Get involved, you know it makes sense.

Stuart Roberts (@wakefieldcanary) joins me today to talk about the February 22nd 1986 episode of Mid South television featuring the returning Rock N Roll Express vs The Fabulous Ones, Ted Dibiase & Steve Williams defending the tag titles vs Dick Murdoch & the Masked Superstar & much more.

We also chat about the recent Steve Austin & Cody Rhodes news, both of which broke just before we started recording.

This week we are looking at some YouTube finds from early 1986 :

Terry Taylor vs Jake Roberts from Oklahoma (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GIs_D2b287c)

‘Dr Death’ Steve Williams & Ted Dibiase vs Masked Superstar & Dick Murdoch - Mid South Tag Team Title match from Houston (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fmwT8HOXkik&t=288s)

Dick Slater vs Jake Roberts - North American Title match from Houston (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=77eiRfsObfM)

Firstly an apology, we're not sure how or why but after we finished recording we realised that there was a problem with my microphone and the sound was turned up too high.  I've spent many painstaking hours* trying to clean this up and get it to a listenable state, but it's not quite the level of our usual audio still unfortunately.

Dan Phillips is back (@danpffc) to review the Mid South television show from January 10th 1986.  It featured Dr Death Steve Williams & Ted Dibiase in tag action, The Masked Superstar, Dick Slater challenged Butch Reed for the North American title and much much more.

*about 40 minutes.
