  • Major investment: AuKing’s $5M earn-in deal
AuKing Mining Ltd managing director Paul Williams joins Proactive’s Jonathan Jackson to discuss the company’s right to earn up to a 50% stake in Orion Resources Pty Ltd, which is acquiring the Cloncurry Gold Project in northwest Queensland.
The agreement extends a prior deal allowing AuKing to earn a 15% stake through $1.5 million in project-related expenditure. Under the new terms, AuKing must invest $5 million in project development by June 30, 2027.
Orion is finalising the acquisition of the Cloncurry Gold Project, the Lorena processing plant, and the Mt Freda/Golden Mile deposits. The company is also considering processing material from the Tick Hill mine and tailings. AuKing’s investment will support exploration, drilling, and resource estimation work, particularly at Mt Freda/Golden Mile, as well as refurbishment of the Lorena plant.
Upon completing the $5 million earn-in, AuKing and Orion will form an incorporated joint venture, with AuKing holding a 50% share. If AuKing does not meet the expenditure requirement, its interest will lapse.
Orion will fund the purchase of the Cloncurry Gold Project independently, and AuKing has no further automatic acquisition rights beyond the 50% stake.

  • Oriole Resources reports strong gold grades at Mbe
Oriole Resources PLC (AIM:ORR) executive director Claire Bay talked with Proactive's Stephen Gunnion about the latest results from the maiden drilling program at the Mbe Gold Project in Cameroon. The company has released results for holes 3 and 4, with hole 3 delivering the highest-grade mineralisation to date, including 4.24m at 7.7g/t gold and 8m at 1.03g/t gold.
Bay highlighted that these results support the significant geochemical footprint already identified at the site. The first 150m of hole 3 averaged 0.48g/t gold, demonstrating mineable widths of mineralisation. The program, now over 30% complete, continues to confirm a strong gold presence, with over 60 mineralised intervals recorded so far.
She explained that the structural controls at Mbe are becoming clearer, with north-northwest trends delivering higher-grade intersections. These align with surface sampling results, where grades reached up to 250g/t gold.
Looking ahead, Oriole Resources expects a steady stream of results in the coming months as drilling continues. The company plans to complete a mineral resource estimate later this year, with a second major anomaly to the north of the current target set for future drilling.

  • BioHarvest Sciences achieves breakthrough in Liver health with Olive Cell compound
BioHarvest Sciences has announced a significant advancement in liver health research, with new in vitro test results demonstrating the efficacy of its proprietary Olive Cell compound in reducing fat accumulation in human liver cells. CEO Ilan Sobel shared the news with Steve Darling from Proactive, highlighting the compound’s potential in addressing non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD)—a condition that affects 30–40% of U.S. adults and currently has limited FDA-approved treatment options.
The latest studies revealed that the Olive Cell compound mitigated fat accumulation in both a liver steatosis model and experimental models of liver fibrosis. Additionally, it reduced collagen type 1 levels in XL-2 cells, a key marker of fibrosis progression, further reinforcing its therapeutic potential.
BioHarvest attributes these promising results to the compound’s high levels of Verbascoside, a bioactive polyphenol with anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. Looking ahead, the company plans to conduct further studies in 2025, with the goal of launching Olive Cell as a nutraceutical product in 2026. Meanwhile, BioHarvest is also exploring pharmaceutical partnerships to bring the compound to market through a CDMO (Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization) model.
With these groundbreaking findings, BioHarvest Sciences is positioning itself at the forefront of liver health innovation, offering a potential new solution for millions affected by NAFLD and liver fibrosis.

  • Sprott & HANetf launch physical uranium ETC targeting European investors
Sprott Asset Management CEO John Ciampaglia talked with Proactive's Stephen Gunnion about the launch of the Sprott Physical Uranium ETC (ISE:SPUT) in partnership with HANetf. Ciampaglia explained that this new product is an extension of the Sprott Physical Uranium Trust, a popular investment vehicle that trades on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
According to Ciampaglia, the new ETC aims to address a key gap in the market by providing non-institutional European investors with easier access to uranium investment. He noted that uranium plays a crucial role in the global energy transition, as nuclear energy is gaining renewed interest due to its ability to provide baseload power, energy security, and zero greenhouse gas emissions.
Ciampaglia also discussed the differences between investing in physical uranium versus uranium mining stocks. He emphasised that physical uranium is often considered a cornerstone investment, while uranium miners offer greater upside potential and operating leverage. Many investors, he said, choose to balance both approaches in their portfolios.

  • Rome Resources achieves major milestone with copper mineralisation at Mont Agoma
Rome Resources Plc (AIM:RMR) CEO Paul Barrett talked with Proactive's Stephen Gunnion about the latest assay results from drilling at Mont Agoma in the DRC. The company has identified a significant copper zone with potential for tin mineralisation at depth. Barrett highlighted that Hole 18 intersected a 250-meter copper zone, while Hole 24, drilled beneath a previous hole, revealed visible tin mineralisation, supporting their geological model.
The CEO explained that all four drill rigs are currently focused on Mont Agoma, with deeper holes underway to further define the mineralisation. He noted that the system appears wider than initially expected, which is an encouraging development. Assays for Hole 24 are still pending, but early visual indications suggest strong tin content.
Barrett also provided an update on the company's resource estimates, stating that the maiden inferred mineral resource for Kalayi should be available by the end of March, with Mont Agoma's estimate following within a couple of months. He emphasised the complexity of the Mont Agoma deposit due to its polymetallic nature but reassured investors that progress is steady.
