  • Company Cornerstones: Terra Metals finds new critical minerals potential in WA
Proactive’s Tylah Tully provides the latest company cornerstone for Terra Metals Ltd (ASX:TM1, OTC:PNGZF).
The Australian exploration company is leveraging Western Australia's geology to expand its mineral portfolio.
Terra’s flagship Dante Project spans 650 square kilometres in the West Musgrave region and is geologically similar to South Africa's Bushveld Complex, renowned for its layered mafic intrusions.
Dante hosts copper-PGE sulphide reefs with thicknesses of 5–10 metres, supporting low-cost, open-cut mining prospects.
Reconnaissance drilling showed 39 out of 40 holes intersected mineralisation, with assays indicating copper, gold, PGEs, vanadium and titanium potential. Recent assays included significant results such as 5.8 metres at 0.34% copper and 0.80% vanadium.
The Onslow Copper-Gold Project in Pilbara has revealed high-grade silver, including 1 metre at 1,060 g/t silver, 0.23% copper and 0.99% tungsten, with an associated high-sulphidation epithermal system.
Meanwhile, at the Southern Cross Lithium Project in the Yilgarn, Terra has identified a 10-kilometre lithium anomaly.
Terra integrates ESG principles, maintaining relationships with Traditional Owners and promoting community development. This approach aids permitting and ensures alignment with local values.

  • Medicus Pharma achieves key milestone with FDA MUMS designation for cancer treatment in Horses
Medicus Pharma CEO Dr Raza Bokhari joined Steve Darling from Proactive to announce news that the company's Investigational New Animal Drug (INAD), featuring a dissolvable doxorubicin-containing microneedle array, has been granted Minor Use in Major Species Designation or MUMS by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. This designation marks a significant step forward for Medicus Pharma’s mission to revolutionize veterinary oncology.
The FDA's MUMS designation is a pivotal milestone, akin to the Orphan Drug status for human medicines. It offers Medicus Pharma an extended 7-year period of exclusive marketing rights following approval or conditional approval, provided the company fulfills all regulatory requirements for maintaining the designation. This exclusivity positions the company to make a profound impact on treating external squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) in horses.
The innovative doxorubicin-containing microneedle array is a patent-protected, dissolvable transdermal patch designed with cellulose-based microneedles. These microneedles are tip-loaded with doxorubicin, a potent chemotherapy agent. When applied, the microneedles penetrate the stratum corneum layer of the skin, creating temporary microchannels. This allows the microneedles to reach the tumor, dissolve, and release doxorubicin directly into the targeted area, effectively eradicating cancer cells while minimizing systemic side effects.
Squamous cell carcinoma is a significant concern in horses, particularly in adult or aged animals with white or partially white coats. Breeds such as Appaloosa, Belgian, American Paint, and Pinto are especially susceptible. SCC typically develops in areas with minimal pigmentation and sparse hair, often around mucous membranes. Commonly affected areas include the eyes, lips, nose, anus, and external genitalia. With an overall incidence rate of 2-3%, this condition impacts a notable portion of the U.S. horse population, estimated to be between 6.6 and 7.25 million horses.

  • Ideal Power secures breakthrough design win for B-TRAN-Powered solid-state circuit breakers in Asia
Ideal Power CEO Daniel Brdar joined Steve Darling from Proactive to share news announcing the company’s first design win for its innovative solid-state circuit breakers with a leading Asian circuit protection equipment manufacturer serving the industrial and utility markets.
This milestone was solidified through a joint development agreement between Ideal Power and its new partner. The collaboration involves designing, prototyping, and testing an SSCB product utilizing Ideal Power’s patented B-TRAN technology. Development is on track for completion in Q2 2025, with commercial sales expected to follow later in the year.
Brdar highlighted the revenue potential stemming from this partnership, estimating that the customer’s first B-TRAN-enabled product could generate several hundred thousand dollars in the first year alone. As adoption scales, the opportunity could surpass $1 million in revenue during the second year of sales.
The partner company has a robust, decades-long reputation for innovation and a significant foothold in the Asian market. Currently selling over 200,000 circuit breakers annually, they cater to large, established customers in sectors such as renewable energy, industrial equipment circuit protection, utility grid infrastructure, and power distribution.
The initial SSCB product will specifically target grid-tied solar and energy storage providers, as well as utility electric distribution networks, positioning Ideal Power’s B-TRAN technology as a transformative solution for modern energy systems. B-TRAN solid-state circuit breakers offer significant advantages, including higher efficiency, lower power losses, and greater reliability compared to traditional mechanical circuit breakers.
Brdar emphasized that this design win represents a pivotal step for Ideal Power, marking the first commercial application of B-TRAN in the circuit protection market.
