  • Australian Rare Earths expands Koppamurra Resource by 27% to 236 million tonnes
Australian Rare Earths Ltd (ASX: AR3) managing director and CEO Travis Beinke joins Proactive’s Tylah Tully after the company has announced a significant 27% expansion of its Koppamurra mineral resource estimate (MRE), increasing to 236 million tonnes at 748 ppm total rare earth oxide (TREO).
The updated MRE also includes a 70% increase in higher-grade tonnes, with 68 million tonnes now grading over 1,000 ppm TREO. This development is a result of successful infill drilling, which defined higher-grade subsets of the deposit, and geographic extension to the northern areas, adding 25 million tonnes to the overall resource.
The resource covers only about 2% of the 7,400 square kiometre Koppamurra tenure, leaving considerable potential for future growth.
Managing director Travis Beinke highlighted the project’s potential to become a key supplier of rare earth elements. IHC Mining’s updated model shows improvements in geological understanding and grade definition, offering greater confidence in the resource’s quality.
The expanded resource builds on previous estimates, with the latest infill drilling adding significant tonnage to both the measured and indicated resource categories. The project also shows significant exploration potential, with the target ranging from 500 million tonnes to 3.2 billion tonnes of rare earths across the entire Koppamurra area.

  • Bango CEO Paul Larbey on strong H1 performance; progress with four strategic pillars
Bango PLC (AIM:BGO, OTCQX:BGOPF) CEO Paul Larbey takes Proactive's Stephen Gunnion through the company’s strong first-half results, highlighting impressive growth figures across multiple areas. Larbey noted that Bango saw a 19% rise in overall revenue - or 22% in constant currency. The company’s carrier billing business grew by 5%, with stronger performance when adjusted for currency fluctuations.
The standout performer was Bango's Digital Vending Machine (DVM) business, which achieved a 63% year-on-year growth. Larbey emphasised that recurring revenue from the DVM increased by 130%. He attributed these gains to the strategic moves made after Bango's acquisition of DOCOMO Digital. Expenses have been decreasing, which has led to a positive EBITDA of £4 million, compared to a small loss in the same period last year.
Larbey also spoke about signing new DVM customers, including one from the financial services sector, indicating significant future growth opportunities. The second half of the year looks promising, with key events like Amazon Prime Day, Black Friday, and Cyber Monday expected to drive further growth.

  • Buru Energy secures funding to drill Rafael Shallow 1 well
Buru Energy Ltd (ASX:BRU, OTC:BRNGF) CEO Thomas Nador joins Proactive’s Tylah Tully to discuss the new funding the company has secured to support its activities, including the drilling of the Rafael Shallow 1 oil exploration well.

  • Reward Minerals acquires Beyondie Potash Plant for $2.13 million
Reward Minerals Ltd (ASX:RWD CEO Lorry Hughes joins Proactive’s Tylah Tully to discuss the company’s acquisition of the Beyondie Potash Plant in Western Australia for $2.13 million (excluding GST).
The plant was formerly operated by Kalium and acquired through an agreement with Dr Michael Ruane, Reward's executive director and major shareholder. This acquisition includes a fully constructed processing facility with a variety of specialised equipment, such as a crushing circuit, conversion units, and SOP recovery components.
Hughes described the acquisition as strategic and potentially transformative for the company, reinforcing Reward's focus on potassium sulphate (SOP) recovery from Western Australian solar salt operations.
The new assets will enable Reward to update its engineering scoping study for the Carnarvon Potash Project, with plans to incorporate the plant's components.
The 2023 engineering scoping study indicated that Reward could establish a commercially viable SOP operation using waste brines from solar salt operations, with potential production of 100,000 tonnes per annum. Operating costs were estimated to be $273 per tonne, among the lowest globally. The company aims to use these new assets to further develop its SOP production and potentially partner with other salt operations in the region.
