  • Vortex Energy drill program seeing results at Robinson River Salt Project
Vortex Energy CEO Paul Sparks joined Steve Darling from Proactive to share news the company has initiated a diamond core drilling program at its Robinsons River Salt Project in Newfoundland & Labrador. The company has secured all necessary permits to conduct drilling at two core wells within the project. The company has reported hitting Salt in the west structure and the core in in the lab for further analysis.
These two core wells are situated at the East and West salt structures of the project, which were identified during a hydrogen storage capacity assessment. The primary objectives of the drilling program are to confirm the depth of the salt structures and gather geological data on both the salt and non-salt rock formations present at the Robinsons River Salt Project.
Based on available geological information, the East Salt Structure is believed to have the potential to store approximately 550,000 tonnes of hydrogen across more than 35 caverns. The West Salt Structure is estimated to have the potential to store around 250,000 tonnes of hydrogen within more than 25 caverns.
Vortex Energy's drilling program is a significant step toward assessing the project's hydrogen storage capacity and advancing its potential as a hydrogen storage facility. This initiative underscores the company's commitment to exploring sustainable energy solutions.

  • Baselode Energy latest drill results show discovery of new Uranium anomalies East of ACKIO prospect
Baselode Energy CEO James Sykes joined Steve Darling from Proactive to share details about the company's latest uranium exploration efforts during an interview with Steve Darling from Proactive.
Baselode Energy has announced the final uranium assay results from six exploration drill holes conducted outside of the ACKIO uranium prospect. These drill holes were part of a 7,512-meter diamond drilling program completed on the Hook project.
The Sandstone target area, where the drilling took place, is open to the south and along the eastern structural contact. Previous drill holes in this area have returned some of the strongest sandstone uranium and pathfinder anomalies.
Sykes highlighted that the geological understanding of the Hook project has evolved with the discovery and ongoing delineation of the ACKIO deposit. The company believes that the broader Hook project holds excellent potential for additional uranium deposits.
In addition to the Mirror and Sandstone targets, Baselode Energy plans to conduct drilling at additional regional targets in 2024. This ongoing exploration work positions the company to make further discoveries and contribute to the supply of uranium, which is crucial for various industries, including nuclear power generation.
